Can we just remember him for what he did for BWFC and all move on.

Spot on, G.

The same question can be asked of him.

Can he also not just remember us for what we did for him and move on.

A bit like Ricardo Gardner has.

Exactly, its a 2 way street. He didn't play for free and he was looking at football deadwater before we got him.

i agree to a degree

but

gardner did have to be a bit more humble as he got looked after (and presumably still well paid) when he was crocked, which was a fair bit

he also played just 4 games less than davies

and, i was shocked to read, 112 games for jamaica

i used to watch bolton play at the dell....long before KDs time..saw terry paine get sid farimond sent off..sid tackled him and as terry got up he back heeled sid in the head...sid got up and made a fist ref saw him and sent him off..as they walked off at half time roy hartle put his arm round terry and had a word with him..he never came into the bolton half again...jimmy greaves always reckoned roy was the hardest defender he ever played against.

and was here 4 years more

And probably on at least half the wage of davies.

I heard last week that he was banned from the ground towards the end of his stay

Well he was in the ground for the blackpool game.

Well he was in the ground for the blackpool game.

Facts Garrp , stop it with facts

Training ground, I should have said.

He still attends a Bolton training ground every week

And probably on at least half the wage of davies.

I heard he had a contract which meant he had to earn something like 90% minimum of the highest paid player.

It came from a man in a pub, so surely that's a FACT!

I heard he was the Stig off TopGear.

I'm going on holiday with KD in December

Just saying.

Do you still go watching Bolton?

Wish him all the best from all at WW

I'll sign his missus up to an account on here.

He did brilliantly for us, over a decade (apart from maybe the last season when time was catching up with him - tho we were also a struggling side, which didn't help him). He was a huge part of the success we had - top 8 finishes, Europe... I don't need to remind you of our recent history.

All the rest is just noise - his wife on twitter etc. I know he earned a very good wage at BWFC, but every fucker who now pulls on the white shirt (with much less distinction) does, so don't blame him for that. At least he gave something back every game.

DF showed the man management skills he's since become famous for in getting rid of him. SKD didn't take too kindly - and nor would any other proud player who'd been treated in the same way.

Anyway, he's right up there for me, and always will be. Can the same be said for DF? Quite.

Just saying.

And his missus ?

SKD scoring that goal with his dislocated finger said it all to me. None of todays pussies would play through the pain like that - apart from Beckford who plays with a dislocated thumb sticking up in the air

Top bloke who gave us his all.  A few of our current crop of players should take a leaf out of his book.

And his missus ?

Yep

I'll send No Balls the pictures.

Carried on playing with a fractured cheekbone at Charlton.

A hero in my eyes and the fulcrum of our past successes.

A true pro who was proud to wear the shirt and gave his all.

Comparing SKD to the current crop of dross is an insult.

Oh and let's not forget the charity work for the LOCAL area too.
