superkev Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Every manager in the league wants better players than the ones they've got and he has been backed by Championship standards. At least quote my full post so it looks like I'm not just defending him Quote
Spider Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 You are kidding me?! No He has to go, it's way past the tipping point for that But one or two on here have said there may be a bigger picture here that only a few at the club are aware of If that's the case, there is an end game that we are yet to see and in a very strange way I'd like to see it reach its conclusion Of course, that may be just be theoretical nonsense and the corridors of power at the Macron are walked by people who are dangerously unaware of the 15-20 years worth of shit we seem to be heading for. I hope it's the former. Quote

Spider Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Fair enough. I get the logic. I wholeheartedly hope he goes ASAP, but at least your wanting him to stay isn't out of blind faith in DF per se Oh God no Putting Mason up top today was further proof that he's just out of his depth. Or worse, has a much higher opinion of himself than he should. He has to go for the good of the club. Regardless of my opinion of the fans, they remain the reason the club exists and it's their opinion that counts in the end. They go, so does the club - it's not difficult to work that out. I'm still gutted. I don't give a shit which manager it is that brings success, I just want that plus stability. The fans really have spoken though and the club now risk losing a fucking load of them. Whatever the game plan may be. Quote
superkev Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 The fact that he said we thought we could out football Derby brings further truth to the delusion. We look better when we get it forward to our wingers and get at teams higher up the pitch. They looked head and shoulders above is today and after their first goal we had no response Quote

I hope it's the former. But why are there only a few aware of it ? If the players aren't, and DF isn't, why are they prepared, as professional sportsmen to keep turning in rubbish performances ? I've said before that these players are good enough to at least survive in this league, so why do they commit professional suicide week after week ? It's not enough to blame the manager (although I do think it's time for him to go), the players have to give themselves a shake as well. Quote
Ani Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) His selection was baffling. His tactics worse. The dropping back of players to take the ball off the keeper has been embarrassing everytime we have tried it, today it just showed how poor we are. Mcnaughton was awful, Moxey similar. Mills terrible. CYL worse game for a long time, the rest totally anonymous. We had ten decent minutes after the penalty but the rest was truly awful. The half time entertainment was good and the pitch invaders were at least a distraction. The reaction of the players when we concede a goal is horrible, no shouting, talking or motivation, they just look beat. I do not see how he can still be in job by Monday afternoon. Oh and the players getting clapped at the end was pathetic to a man they were nowhere near good enough. Apart from maybe CYL we do not a player who would add to Derbys team. MickyD Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Chungy is the player that frustrates me mosst. He has the ability but fuck me he can duck away from putting a tackle in. Quote
SoberDan Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Did the fans really act as badly as the bbc report suggests, did we play as badly as my friends who went suggest? Quote

How fans can clap players after that type of performance is beyond me, one up front I can understand when Derby knock it round so well but how many times does DF need to see Mason up top on his own to see he can't play the lone role, the decision to switch Feeney on the left when LCY went of was equally stupid, if you want to beat Derby you need pressing midfielders so Garvan instead of Medo was another strange one, it's happening every week and it's beyond belief. only1swanny Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 fans seeing the players off.. some boo's some applause.. Its not the players.. we've got rid of dougies "deadwood" but he still refuses to let the team settle.. Why we're playing Garvan, I really don't know.. Quote

Once he knew he wasn't going to win that ball he should have either given a foul away or backed off. That shitness left Moxey with 2 on 1 which lead to the goal. Quote

Big E Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 The day a chav in a full tracksuit decides the fate of my club is the day I stop. Yes it's shit. We need a change but fuck off invading the pitch etc. The worst part is your benefits won't be cut Quote

Obviously too much shmoke and pancake for you Quote
Guest Blixa Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 No But one or two on here have said there may be a bigger picture here that only a few at the club are aware of. The bigger picture is obvious. Cut the wage bill, bring through young players, build a decent team on a much smaller budget. It's what any future appointment will have to do too. There's no money around to do anything else. It's a long term strategy, not a short term one. Freedman was brought in because that was something he was perceived to have done at Palace. Fact is, he's cut the budget, but he hasn't yet dome enough in bringing the youth through and the team he has 'built' ain't good enough, not least with him in charge of it. BWFC can't afford a relegation, so there will be itchy trigger fingers. But I reckon it'll be a couple more weeks or so yet. They'll also be mindful that there has to be someone out there to do the above - and not currently employed. And cheap enough. And willing to come. I can't think of anyone. Sacking is easy. Replacing is hard. One thing is for sure. A new bloke isn't going to be anyone from our current back room and it isn't going to be Phil Brown. Can see us getting an overseas coach in. Quote
RoadRunnerFan Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) Tbf Jules I don't think those cretins that ran on the pitch 'care' any more than anyone on here does, they just happen to be infinitely more cretinous than us. That said I don't think they were motivated by a feeling that BWFC/society in general owes them anything, I think they were more motivated by cretinism or maybe ale.
