jules_darby Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Tbf Jules I don't think those cretins that ran on the pitch 'care' any more than anyone on here does, they just happen to be infinitely more cretinous than us. That said I don't think they were motivated by a feeling that BWFC/society in general owes them anything, I think they were more motivate by cretinism or maybe ale.Now we're getting somewhere My guess is pissed up Quote
jules_darby Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 And I never said that they care more But there's been so much apathy eventually some folk will break. And some of them will behave extremely. Like that today. Running on the pitch like that is embarrassing. Well I find it quite amusing to be honest. Is it better or worse than the nobs that boo? Fuck knows, but what I do know is that the real issue is the Manager, players and Chairman. Not a couple of pissed up angry men Quote
Spider Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) The bigger picture is obvious. Cut the wage bill, bring through young players, build a decent team on a much smaller budget. It's what any future appointment will have to do too. There's no money around to do anything else. It's a long term strategy, not a short term one. Freedman was brought in because that was something he was perceived to have done at Palace. Fact is, he's cut the budget, but he hasn't yet dome enough in bringing the youth through and the team he has 'built' ain't good enough, not least with him in charge of it. BWFC can't afford a relegation, so there will be itchy trigger fingers. But I reckon it'll be a couple more weeks or so yet. They'll also be mindful that there has to be someone out there to do the above - and not currently employed. And cheap enough. And willing to come. I can't think of anyone. Sacking is easy. Replacing is hard. One thing is for sure. A new bloke isn't going to be anyone from our current back room and it isn't going to be Phil Brown. Can see us getting an overseas coach in. Could someone kindly print out and laminate this post? It's the most brilliantly written, succinct summary of the actual situation the club is in that I have read so far. Guest pansyroadwhite Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 That's not caring enough to do something. That's thinking society / the club owes you. I hope he is banned. It is embarrassing.no it wasnt Quote

Spider Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 no it wasnt It is They have, quite literally, crossed a line. We all have passion for the club, but running on the pitch only demonstrates that you have a serious mental imbalance. Its pathetic. Quote
RoadRunnerFan Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 pansyroad you honestly think they care more because of that, not that they weren't just p*ssed up attention seekers? I think Andy Lonergan would disagree for a start. What about that clown that squared up to Lorenzo Amoruso against T'rovers a few year ago and then ran off? #Megafan? Garbage. Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 This can't be allowed to continue. Apologies to Elvis for thoroughly depressing him at half time Quote
davidjack Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Whether pissed up or not they did more to galvanise an increasingly apathetic and resigned crowd than anything else has...and the reaction that provoked was something to behold. Freedman out! Gartside out! Long live the possibly pissed up two! You did your club proud. Ooh they ran on the pitch! How dare they! Get a grip and see the bigger picture. Quote
Marc505 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Just back, after a really good night at the Horwich street party which had a big turnout. And lots of girls with big boobs in fancy dress. As for the match, I came away from it feeling like Freedman's position is untenable. There was an air of the 2-2 vs Hull about today as the majority of the ground began the Gartside/Freedman out chants. His after match comments, there's not much you can say. He knows the situation is nearly indefensible, he talks like a man who knows its all gone to pot but cant and wont admit it. Its barely even worth mocking what he said, he knows himself he's talking bollocks. For me, its clear the team aren't playing for him. At 2-0 down you want to see some desperation to get back into it, someone busting a gut, someone charging about wanting the ball. Wanting it! But nothing. It's gone, we're a dead stick, he has to go. They just don't look like they want to play for him. Quote
RoadRunnerFan Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Blixa and Marc have it nailed on. Those clowns that ran on the pitch bring nowt. Its sad more than anything. Quote
burnden Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Were there protests outside the ground after the game as well? Quote

Ended up in the ale house. Quote
davidjack Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Yeah, there were loud protests outside the main entrance afterwards. I was part of them. If he's still here next Saturday they'll be a lot bigger. Quote
Marc505 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I did see one charity bucket which I put a few quid in, but it was a good piss up! And there was a 90's rave in The Saddle which was one of the best things Ive ever witnessed in Horwich! Quote
Marc505 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 That's an interesting point davidjack, there's no real respite now as next Saturday is a home game as well, albeit with a long distance midweek away. Quote

RoadRunnerFan Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 fair enough Pansyroadwhite we'll have to agree to differ. We are all saying DF's is time is up, so the end result is the same. I'd rather we went about it in a dignified way, which may result in a better future appointment than a shambolic public witchunt. jsl Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) no they dont Yes, they do. Running onto the field doesn't show you care, in fact it's almost the opposite. We were 2-0 down, trying to get a goal to get back into the game and these two arseholes stop play and break up any momentum we may (or may not) have been building. Added to that the club could get fined when they're already in a serious financial hole. And it makes us look tin-pot. Pathetic. Edited September 28, 2014 by SnoopJohnnyJohn Quote
