But I think we are Bolton Wanderers, founder members of the football league and OUR club is the club of the world's greatest ever English centre forward, and the finest gentleman to play the game, and I think we have more class in the DNA of the boils in our backside than what I saw today.

 

And I love our club but I'm clearly a bit pissed.

 

We go about things in a certain way, Bruce Rioch would have kicked those clowns to high heaven, and remember he had to put up with the Millwall hate mob before he even rocked up at Burnden, and he wouldn't of flinched.

Nobody was booing their own team, mate. What they were doing was expressing their extreme anger at the monumental fuck up of a management structure that has brought us to this sorry state. If you think we should carry on as we are then that's your prerogative, but you're in a massive minority, mate.

What does Garvan bring to the side?   He's a waste of wages.   ... and why is he ahead of Danns in the squad, or Medo, or Vela for a starting place.  Plus we have Trotter (admittedly currently injured).

 

Herd can play midfield ( saw him play against us for Lincoln a couple of years back).

 

.... and last year Ream was winning MOM awards playing centre mid in front of the back four, spraying accurate forward passes.

 

Freedmans recruitment policy, on limited funds, is plain crazy.

 

His team selections beggar belief, and his post match comments are generally an insult to those of us who have been there to witness the performance.

Not that I agree with the chanting or booing, and have never done it, but I don't actually think its done any harm. Hopefully, its made the board wake up and realise what the fans want. What does the guy have to do before he gets sacked?

If the 2 clowns in question had made some sort of protest, like throwing their season tickets in DF's direction it would have been understandable but  not defensive able. But to come on running/dancing about with the corner flag was just stupidity.

Did something I have never done before yesterday. I left at 4.19, not because of the performance, I'm used to that now and got used to it under McGovern, Neal etc. I couldn't take the acidic atmosphere anymore. People can do whatever they want (within the realms of the law), when they pay their good money. I chose to leave, (but was at least there from the off), I know there were hundreds, maybe even treble digit numbers of season ticket holders that didn't show yesterday, that again is their choice. Strange thing is when I was walking down the stairs from WSU, I could already hear the early exit turnstile clicking away, what was even more disturbing, was that as I left, there were "many" others who chose to do the same.

Ill always back the club, team and Manager, I don't agree with the booing during the match, but understand that people can choose to vent their anger however they see fit. Ill be back next week, and would have been at Fulham, but for it being midweek.

 

What really is concerning is that our support is tearing itself apart.

Yesterdays wasn't and was therefore poorly attended / ill thought out.

 

That why I wasn't surprised by your presence.

 

20 to 50 blokes(?) full of ale shouting randomly at a building won't work.

 

Get a 1,000 sober ones to protest before a game and stay outside during the game and that might be viewed differently. You'd attract more attention from the club, media etc that way.

 

No issue with protesting, but it has to be done better. Otherwise we look shit.

Anyone who thinks running onto the pitch will change the mind of the owner about sacking a manager is off their nut.

However, they certainly galvanised the Freedman out etc chants

 

Which in turn may have contributed to the lot outside the West Stand after the game

 

Which may make someone organise a formal protest ala Traf's post

 

Which would make them take some notice. It won't completely make their decision for them, but as businessmen it has to influence them

Given the state of the team/results/manager, I'm surprised that it isn't nastier. More fans just seem to be melting away.
