Think it was motd who said the fans aren't happy because; amongst other things, they were promised money to spend. The club has spent £29m but it's not enough!

 

If they'd only spent £15m then I reckon by now a few thousand of their fans would have stabbed each other.

The main issue with the West Ham supporters is losing one of the grand old football grounds to be moved to a soulless bowl a few miles away.They were told the move to a bigger stadium would facilitate the purchase of better players to compete at the top end of the league.but they are the same old West Ham on the football pitch and now in an atmosphere free athletics stadium.I think as a support base they'd rather be shit at Upton Park than good at the athletics stadium anyway

Dont blame them 1 but for being frustrated, its nothin to do with “the west ham way”, its called ambition and wanting to do better.

But better than what? If it's better than Chelsea, Arsenal and those clubs up there, unlucky. If it's better than the mid-section of Prem clubs, fine. If it's better than West Brom, Swansea, etc, then they're up there.

Maybe they should be happy to be the best East End of larndan team.

Having Gold and Sullivan as owners would be horrendous at the best of times.

 

That ground they are in now is dreadful. How would folk of liked it if we had been moved to an athletics stadium in a circular ball to save a few quid?

 

Never understood this knowing your place argument? Why shouldn’t you aspire to be better. We wouldn’t of had our premier league glory days with this mindset. They have bought some awful players recently.

They were told that moving grounds would allow them to spend more to close the gap, so they can try and push the top6 clubs more....its not happened, more lies from owners.

But to be equally fair, we wouldn't have attracted Okocha, Djorkaeff, Campo, Stellios, (the list goes on) while at Burnden Park and therefore no ground swap - no premier league, well, at least no 11 consecutive seasons including two Euro tours.

Agree with this, couldn’t understand people who were impressed with it when we went in the cup it was a shambles from the minute you got off the train to the (80th) minute you left. Horrible. Stood on a scaffolding stand their main lot next to us!
