Guest Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 well it’s in black and white so I stand corrected I still think they are bigger When push comes to shove including away support What have they ever won? Quote
radcliffe white Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 What have they ever won? jack I was referring to support not honours Quote
Guest Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 jack I was referring to support not honours They might have won a League Cup. Trophies are a part of how big a club is. Not that I give a toss! Quote
Zico Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Support wise, they will have averaged more than we did in the PL in their 10 years or so We've had more PL seasons and had higher finishes and all that Dunno before that About even for me, we've achieved more but they've got more fans Quote
radcliffe white Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 They might have won a League Cup. Trophies are a part of how big a club is. Not that I give a toss! aye think that’s all they have won, there’s so many of these tables knocking around and no real accurate measure Take Blackburn 3 top flight titles and 6 fa cups but are they bigger than us Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 ...but are they bigger than us By almost every available metric, I would unfortunately have to say "yes". Quote

madthatter Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 (edited) Everyone gets bored of stagnating in the end. This. It will happen to all and any club that try to do what we did (or better), eventually. Unless you can keep throwing City money at it . . . That's the booby prize of English football now. A few years competing at the top to then potentially be in a financial mess. Burnley are doing it the right way it seems; fair play to em as well (a little sick came up then) Edited March 13, 2018 by madthatter Quote

MickyD Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Seeing Wigan above Bury made me giggle. Look at MK Dons. Hardly attracting massive gates but in 14 seasons of their being they're already ahead of both Wigan (39 seasons) and Bury (119). Quote
Sweep Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 (edited) And we're behind Coventry City Them sort of lists are generally bollocks Edited March 13, 2018 by Sweep Quote

Sweep Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Take Blackburn 3 top flight titles and 6 fa cups but are they bigger than us if you spoke to anybody else in the world (other than Bolton fans) then the answer would be yes - they've won more and we've spent fairly similar amounts of time in the top division (I think) Quote

famouswanderer Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 (edited) I wonder if we will ever do it in the entirefuture of football. Obviously it aint going to happen (barring a miracle) in any of our life times. But what about Bolton Wanderers champions of England year 3025. Edited March 13, 2018 by famouswanderer Quote
