I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Indeed. It's my opinion that anyone would think a 'fan' running onto the pitch to sucker punch a football should be rewarded.

TBF Grealish is an annoying cunt who many would want to punch

To go on the pitch during the game the nutter got what he deserved

Correct. Glad you can see it.
evidently More a misguided attempt at humour than a strange comment. But each to their own

Two premier league games scheduled for Sunday.

City and Sheffield utd both at home.

Do you reckon these will be called off because of the impending storm?

Would seem ridiculous to expect West ham fans to travel up in such dodgy conditions.

Any reason why Chelsea v utd and arsenal v Liverpool aren't being played this weekend?

Only just realised all fa cup 5th round games are midweek this season

Winter shutdown?

For just them four?

Staggered over 2 weeks, so Sky doesn't get withdraw symptoms.

The shut down is split: 8 teams and twelve teams staggered.

Juketwicz just scored a lovely goal for Brum

And I was hoping Coventry would be knackered. The day less rest hasn’t done Brum much harm

Life ban from all grounds. That’s harsh considering what folk get for other offences. But a stupid twat nonetheless

It was fake news that he got a life ban.

Very cleverly the EPL have arranged the fixtures so that they can be uniquely broadcast without clashing with another EPL game. No games at 3 today or next Saturday so not even a clash with most EFL games.

If they bin off the ban on televising Saturday 3 o'clock prem games I can see sky/bt/Amazon wanting all games shown.

Friday night

4 on Saturday at 12:30, 3, 5:30 and 7:45

4 on Sunday 12, 2, 4 and 6

Monday night

I can't see the problem to be honest. Over here every Bundesliga 1, 2 and 3 are shown live. It doesn't impact the attendances.

Genuine question because I dont have a clue about German football fixtures, but do they play Friday, Sat, Sun, Mon routinely?  I know for a fact I wouldnt get a season ticket if that was the case for Bolton.  I can put up with a few fixture changes a season, but if there were only 4 or 5 Saturday afternoon home games I wouldnt be committing to a S/T, especially as you dont know which will be rearranged.  The club wouldn't need the gate money anyway thanks to the TV deals so it would be easy to justify not going every week.

I suppose the difference in Germany is they make it feel like a pleasure to go to home games.

They don’t even watch the game they just get absolute smashed in the stands.

True. I was talking about this in the pub earlier though, it's weird there's great amazing things about football in Germany but we do ourselves down to much here, a goal goes in away from home over here and Germany isn't coming close to how our lot celebrates.

I went to a Hamburg game last year. There must have been 100 of their fans with their backs to the game, just chanting and drinking. Barmy the lot of them.

I'm in Nottingham city centre and can hear the cheering over the wind from the ground from here. Massive result for Forest that.

Yeah and I get that, I've some mates who are Union Berlin home and away and I get loads of videos from in the stadium, flares giant flags etc but their chanting goes on regardless of events on the pitch and that's great in a way but when the main event of a football match happens (a goal) life just goes on, not much reaction because they're already going mental. Good but also shit haha
