I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

PGMOL have said they aren't changing part way through a season but I reckon the half way point would be a good place to pick.

Yes. It's the same for both sides whenever they change it.

Paul lambert signed an extension keeping him at Ipswich til 2025. That’s insanity and will 100% bite them on the arse. If they don’t go up this season they will sack him and pay him for another 4+ years

chairman needs to give his/her head a wobble

There could of course be a clause that he gets a maximum 12 months payout if he's sacked.

There could but would you sign a deal that ties you to an employer for 5 years but they can empty you with 12 months notice effectively?
cant imagine many football managers would as it’s effectively a rolling 12 month deal but without the flexibility on your side to move elsewhere

So he does years 1 to 3 and 2 months into the 4th year they pot him. He then gets another 12 months pay as a severance and can walk into another job.

Is there a fire drill at the massives stadium tonight

More atmosphere in the front room. Absolutely dreadful.

My brother got a free ticket to watch them against Leicester. He said the atmosphere was poor then.

A bit too much expectancy, despite their lack of consistency this season.

I don’t think it’s any different when they are winning the league. They only get a decent atmosphere against the big clubs and then for me the away support generates a lot of that.

Expectancy again. Got too used to wiping the floor with teams, and as such don't create too much noise unless it's umpteen nil.

80 Million for Maguire. HIs positioning is fucking awful.

Their shape at the back is absolutely abysmal.

Not the same player he was for Leicester.

Good on the ball but his defending is so lax it's unbelievable. His starting positions are shite and he's strolling about thinking he's Maldini/Baresi in a slab of meat costume.

Leicester got 80m for him and had a better replacement in Soyuncu

I don't think he becomes a shit player overnight, he's done well for England and Leicester.

Just isn't as dominant since he left.

13 clear with a game in hand

As much as i would enjoy it i don't think Liverpool are going to do a bust this season

As i type bt sports just said if they win their next game it's the best start by any team in any league ever
