Accidental or otherwise. That rule is black and white. There was an argument for Liverpoolās goal with Van Dijk handling it and Lallana as well. So the ref missed Van Dijk and play went on, Lallana was initially ruled out because the ref said he handled it. VAR Then took an age to make a decision and decided the goal stood. They had every angle and debated it for a long time. But TV are only interested in the leading clubs; if Villa/Hammers/anyone else are relegated on a VAR decision it does not matter - some other cannon fodder will take their place.
