Some shithousery going on at Barcelona with presidential hopefuls leaking information about the state of the clubs finances.

Apparently Barca are brassic, in real financial trouble.

Someone has leaked Messi’s last contract. He was paid €555,237,619 over four years.

£138,000,000 per season

€115,225,000 was his renewal fee

€77,929,955 loyalty bonus

€2.7 a week.

The biggest player contract in the history of sport.

Messi was told about Barcelona’s financial problems but was still offered €120m a year, this then prompted him to trigger his transfer clause because if he signed it there was no way Barcelona could afford to pay anyone else big wages and he didn’t want to stay for money alone.

The only club in contact with Barcelona last year was Man City, they offered £112m plus Eric Garcia, Barcelona said no, at the same time Luis Suarez was declined his contract request because Barcelona couldn’t afford it.
Barcelona’s sponsors are not renewing based on speculation that Messi won’t be staying.
Messi’s agent has accepted he won’t be getting what Barcelona paid him but someone could now afford to pay him £50m at least a year without blinking an eye.

Are you mad?  He couldn't possibly live on only £55mill a year!

Oh and they paid Coutinho £350k a week after paying £120m for him, to them loan him to Barcelona for free and paid 50% of his wages

Dembele £350k a week, Griezmann £350k a week, Suarez £400k a week and these are just the new signings.

Awful isn’t it Michael, think we could have a whip round?

My problem with it is the paper in Spain that has leaked it is a Barcelona biased news outlet, this has been leaked by a Presidential candidate in an attempt to make Messi look like a mercenary, its wrong it really is.
No one has ever made that much money for the club and no one ever will, he is the main attraction, shirt sales, sponsors, gate fees, he actually brings people to the city to watch him, it’s not his fault they started throwing around reddies.

Mr Balague was talking about the problems they and Real Madrid had financially the other day.

No doubt some more dodgy funding will arrive, maybe from governments etc.

105m for him. Did they sign the right Dembele?

Griezmann has hardly set the world on fire too. They'll be sponsored by Betfred next.

At last nights Copa Libertadores Final in Brazil ordinary fans were banned , but they allowed guests and sponsors to attend providing they had a Covid test in advance - approximately 5000 of them - who sat together not socially distanced

Hope UEFA and the FA were not looking on thinking now there's a good idea.
