Wycombe we should have at least drawn and Morecambe we should have won comfortably- we only get half a game with all this passing around the goalie and it’s not working I think that that aspect of our game has improved as the season has progressed. Evatt spoke about it too, and we have, at times, become more direct (though not hit it long and hope). More recently we've perhaps dropped off in that regard, but we've been without the new lads whose presence up top will allow us to do that. We played with one up at times too, and achieved some fine results, which you wouldn't necessarily associate with direct football. Perhaps overall, we're not quite there yet, certainly in terms of consistency, and I still think there are times when we lack some leadership in the middle of the park. I'm also sure that Evatt is still learning too. I'd be disappointed if we didn't now qualify for the play offs, but I think we will. Beyond that, who knows, but it won't have been a bad season if we're not promoted Quote
lobbypond Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Wanderers fan Kingsley Coman is going to knock PSG out tonight 🙂 Quote

Dr. Feelgood Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Just for absolute clarity I wish to make it clear that I will not be appearing on Match of the Day tonight. Indeed, I have no plans to ever appear on MotD again. Quote
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted March 11, 2023 Site Supporter Posted March 11, 2023 BBC should scrap MOTD anyway. Save a fortune in salaries on pundits and commentators. Anyone can see the goals/highlights on various other platforms easily enough anyway. pay a few ‘thems’ like Sam Smith to entertain Saturday night audiences instead Quote
green genie Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Oakwell passed pitch inspection. No news of SY finest getting involved yet. Probably wait till they kettle first couple train loads into The Grapes. Quote
Wanderlust Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Bournemouth v Liverpool - WTF is going on there? Quote
Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted March 11, 2023 Site Supporter Posted March 11, 2023 No idea, not watched it but it's put Everton even deeper in the shit 😁 Quote
Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted March 11, 2023 Site Supporter Posted March 11, 2023 Apparently Everton have come out in support of Gary Lineker by announcing they won't be appearing on MOTD next season 😂😂 Quote
green genie Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Fucked up an east 1 on 1 seconds into second half when been even first half inspired Barnsley with two quality strike. Let’s see where we are at Easter when the 6 pointers are over for Barnsley and Ipswich Quote
Marc505 Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 MOTD straight in no messing, even the theme music has gone on strike Quote

I fully support Lineler's right to be able have an opinion and I fully agree with all his colleagues backing him up, but tonight's MotD Light was my favourite MotD since we left the PL. Just the action, no waffle and no screeching commentary. Quote
Members bolty58 Posted March 12, 2023 Members Posted March 12, 2023 Kvaradona for Napoli. What a player that lad is. There are moments when he reminds me of George Best. Quote

Anyway, there was an alternative... Quote

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 12, 2023 Site Supporter Posted March 12, 2023 Sully received criticism for portraying certain individuals in a far dimmer way than was the reality. Good film, some salt pinched. As for motd, pity they wouldn't make it the usual length but just the highlights. Quote
Dr. Feelgood Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 According to BARB overnight, Match of the Day viewing figures of: Last Sat: 2.09 million Last night; 2.58m million Not much of a “solidarity” boycott from viewers. Not watching a bunch of entitled multi-millionaires mirroring each other & playing like they're in a pub with Micah Richards screaching uncontrollably at absolutely everything certainly gets my vote. Marc505 Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Best thing about it? It had all the goals in. Quote
