I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Zenit at home was worse than that.

Standing water all over the pitch and fuck all visibility.

Not for me it wasn't.

We still scored a fine late goal, starting with a free kick deep in our own half.

Not sure the opposite goals would have been visible at scunthorpe.

Was to do with thunder rather than rain.

Plymouth away 2 seasons ago was worse, the ball stopped rollling.

Setting off driving back through the night, straight after the game, pissed wet through, well beaten on the pitch & in a monsoon wasn't my finest choice !!

you remember a different game to me, we scored halfway through the first half, and the ball was getting stuck in standing water even then.

It was, but it was at scunthorpe too.

I was more talking about vision.

A quick, long free kick that would have been somewhat difficult had the recipient not been able to see it.

As Carlos says, I reckon lightning will have played a part too.

Was it scaring the players?

Can't remember what year, probably around 88/89, we had a night game at Swansea that turned into water polo.

Southampton tonight are a perfect example of a team that have no idea what to do out of possession

They won’t get within 10 miles of each other, you’d have thought.

Mr & Mrs Smallbone either had a wicked sense of humour or were stunningly naive when they named their lad Willy

Could have been worse- imagine a Christian name of Everard.

Declan started for Salford tonight and they lost at home to Notts 2-0 and he was substituted second half 😀

Just seen Thuram's goal, unstoppable.

What's with the digitally enhanced advertisement boards on the normal in play match cam? Looks like a computer game!

Inter are looking good for a tilt at Serie A and another good run in Europe.

All that shit looks a bit naff to me when it’s all digitalised bollocks
