Irritating for many reasons. One because I think we were better than them at one point a few year back. Also because I dislike Ipswich

Another fan up in court

Football fan warned he could face jail for disgusting child killer tweet

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/entertainment/other/football-fan-warned-he-could-face-jail-for-disgusting-child-killer-tweet/ar-AA1hFwVs

Following a match between Plymouth Argyle and Derby County in March, a fan was on a coach back to Derby when she saw the tweet which was later confirmed to have been sent by Miller.

He had tweeted a picture of Derby man Mike Philpott, who was jailed for life in 2013 for manslaughter. He has killed his six children, aged between five and 13, by setting his house on fire and then going on TV to appeal for help in 'finding the culprit'.

Above the picture, Miller wrote "Hardie's on fire, just like Mick Philpott's house". Ryan Hardie had scored the winning goal for Plymouth Argyle, pushing them to 2-1.

Judge David Evans gave him a fine of £500 plus court costs of £250 at a rate of £100 a month. He warned Miller if he did not pay in 14 days he would be jailed.

"Walking out of court £750 lighter. All for an "offensive tweet". It was purely a joke. You've heard Frankie Boyle say far worse. Watch your words."

think he makes a valid point with the last bit though I don't find FB that much funny either really

it would be interesting to know what the line is for jokes you can be fined for, and what's "ok"

Indeed. A sick comment, and by all means publicise it.

You make a good point about consistency

Grey area for sure.

Lukaku scored a perfectly good goal against  Liverpool in the League Cup final tother year which wrongly got ruled out for offside perhaps they could replay that?

Or the game against Wolves last season when  wolves had a goal wrongly ruled out for offside.

Liverpool are one of those clubs other fans often refer to as getting the benefit of dodgy decisions.

Some of it undoubtedly as they tend to be better sides and have more action in their opponent's penalty area, but at times you do wonder.

Iirc, Brighton had some shocking treatment last season- not sure who exactly it was against-but it cost them points.

Fan died sadly.

Other fans ran on to the pitch as they didn't want the game re-started whilst treatment was ongoing.

Ref followed protocol but it hasn't gone down well.

That’s awful

Think he’s played a blinder. Any marginal call will go liverpools way for sometime I suspect now

The Fergie way. That's why that old fvkr got players to rage & rant over every throw in.

For me he called the VAR officials 'lacking in integrity'. That's there with calling referee's "cheats" & he should be charged for it.

Incompetent buffoons running a bad system poorly, yes. But to imply cheating is unacceptable.

Weirdly not jealous of Newcastle playing PSG, or City at Leipzig, but proper jealous of West Ham going to Freiburg and Brighton going to Athens and Amsterdam soon 😀
