I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Had the wrong Beale

ian probably more fitting

Brighton fans 'celebrating' their equaliser in Marseille. What shit limbs.

They've done brilliantly as a club but fuckin hell the Premier league doesn't half attract plastic fans.

We have to avoid getting back there at all costs. We're doing a pretty decent job of it too

Its only for my lads Id ever want us to play there again.

No desire myself. Im not even arsed about the championship tbh.

That's pretty much why I'm not that arsed whether we go up or not. Doesnt really matter whether we are championship or L2 for me.

Fuck that boys. I’d love another Euros run out. I also want out of this league.

Pretty sure it matters a lot to our long-term existance.

Of course

Otherwise, whats the point

Absolutely.

Support remains irrespective of league, but if we're not bothered about moving up, then welcome to some sort of Franchise system.

Never play Utd, City etc ever again.

I’ve never wanted to play the rags more in my life well since the build up to 91 anyway

Aye.

Especially at the moment, as they're a bit shite.

Maybe so - but it doesn't matter a jot to me personally. If we're in the prem, i'll still get a season ticket and turn up to the 4 3pm saturday games we play but retain my seat for Championship.

Having to wait 5 minutes to see if a goal is given - balls to that. Sterile league

Same here on a personal level, but I highly doubt Football Ventures will stick around if we're stuck in League 1 haemorrhaging money for the next 3 years.

BSA for them being suggested.

I would love to see that. Fingers crossed.

VAR is the main reason I have no interest in playing in the prem.

I don't think we're hemorrhaging money are we?

A highly successful bond issue, crowds high and the odd input from "investors".

If we're losing cash after that, then things aren't too rosy.

That said, I don't see fv being around for too long if the team doesn't get to at least the championship soon.

Perhaps "haemorrhaging" was the wrong word. I don't think we're any where near self-sufficient as a business, and investors will want a return at some point.

Yes, of course they will, I agree.

FV certainly won't rest on their laurels.

We have to become at minimum and established championship club, otherwise we play in Micky Mouse tournaments, fail to get to the 3rd Round of FA cup and lose our better players to shit clubs who are in the Championship, there are many smaller clubs than us in the Premier league, Championship and we have to have those leagues as a target... top end championship and ruffle a few prem teams in the cup is my idea of heaven.

I think they have already got an end plan in place now, SB has gone very quiet I think it is playing out in the background as we speak. Would not surprise me if they sold the club in the next 12-18 months.

I don't think we hear to much from Sharon generally. Certainly not with regard to on-pitch performances. She doesn't overtly interfere, which is good.

Charity events etc, she does her bit, and that's great- the Carol concert last Christmas for example.

I'm not sure about a sale so quickly, unless we've gone up. Having the bond to pay out on, any newcomer would perhaps want the higher payments for championship football.

Lets win the FA Cup then and get into the Europa League that way

Would be nice!

Not had a particularly big "upset" in our favour in Evatt's time.

A couple against championship teams iirc, but nowt special.

One of the things I appreciate most about Sharon / FV is that we only hear from them when absolutely necessary

A professional, business approach

I can't stand it when clubs owners constantly stick their oar in publicly

She sees her role as 'setting the tone'.

She has more football knowledgeable staff like Markham for that side of stuff.

She's said before that promotion would mean her seeking more finance & if a buyer She felt suitable came along she'd happily deal with them.  I like that she'd have a view of their acceptability. Money talks however, in the end.

She's helped make us an attractive proposition again.

In my dream, though it rarely works like this, new people would be wise to keep her as Chair.

She could leave tomorrow though and I'd view her as one of the greats of this club.
