Not having watched much of the prem this season I hadn’t realised how poor Utd are these days

Very mixed and not where they were.

Yet, as things stand, they're above Newcastle and into sixth, and 4 points behind Villa who are 4th.

Bunching up towards the top, and it's hard to pick a winner of the league at the moment.

It is remarkable.

That said, how will they have faired against the other top teams come the end of the season?

Don’t get me wrong not title contenders but not as bad as some make out, noticed they don’t draw games like us it’s been a big help

I think you're right, though not sure their fans are overly enamored by their levels, and the press are all over it, naturally.

For a team 6th in the league the quality today has been awful.

Everton pasted them first half but were alarmingly inept in front of goal.

Everton have been doing well recently, and commentators were saying that Everton were being favoured in some quarters.

Perhaps expect them to be on top, but their former player (Osman) on radio 5 reckoned utd managed the scousers well.

I'll have a gander later on motd 2.

Watching Spurs v Villa earlier

VAR ruling out Watkins goal in first half

The only question was if he's offside, which he was

Still took around five minutes to decide

Surely if it's offside that's the possible issue, get the line drawn up and it can be done in 30 seconds

Probably because they want to measure offside by the millimetre

Not exactly clear and obvious

If it was it wouldn't take 5 minutes

They've lost to them all

Spurs, arsenal, city, Brighton (and palace)

And got dumped out the league cup by Newcastle

All the wins against bottom half teams

They've also been turd in the champions League

Literally my very words.

If they just stuck to that. They've really cocked up how this plays out.

Thing was they didn't draw the lines up straight away

Took a few minutes

If you're looking for offside wouldn't that be the first thing you do

Considering how much people mock united they’re currently only 6 points off top

It's a bit like league 1, poor league this year the prem

telling as a 10 team who've been docked 10 points will still stay up no problem

Top 3 will be City, Arsenal and Liverpool in some order

The others have either lost too many already (Man U) or struggle when a few players out (Spurs, Newcastle, Villa)

Spurs have been ahead in their last 3 games and lost all 3, two at home and one at Wolves.

They have a great bloke as their new manager and I hope he does well there but they are still Spurs aren't they.  Fair play to Villa though, I didn't think Emery would be all that good, I was wrong, they are very impressive.

The rags might only be 6 pints off top but they're in a false position.

Had some extremely lucky wins this season.

At the risk of appearing pink, (I’m far from it) when Bolton get lucky wins or ugly wins or any wins at all, it’s a sign of being a good team together. Don’t the same rules apply with DMBs?
