Johnnyrotten Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I've just watched 1st half of Hearts v Celtic (I know) and its the first time I've ever seen 4 VAR decisions that I disagree with. 2 penalties given that were never pens (especially the so-called handball), a sending off that's a yellow all day long and a goal disallowed for supposed offside, I know why they gave that (shoelace offside) but one where the law is at fault, he's level and that was always given as not offside before VAR. Main reason for mentioning it though is the shear time wasted, just to still get the majority of decisions wrong. Each one has been a 2 or 3 minute delay - for what? After we'd celebrated Collins great goal yesterday I remember saying if we had VAR we'd be sat on our hands for the next 3 minutes waiting for someone to tell us if his hair is longer than the defenders hair. The moment would have been lost, and probably the goal (I've not seen it back but it would have been checked). Just on Hearts - that Lawrence Shankland is quality, what a goalscorer. Quote
tomski Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Honestly detest VAR I don’t want it adapted or improved. Just removed. Quote

Agree Goal line tech is all we need to keep as it’s always a straight yes/no decision. No “interpretation” required which is where VAR is and always has been bollocks Quote
Duck Egg Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Burnley have a goal disallowed. Cue "Premier League, corrupt to f*ck!" songs from the locals. Aye, because a corrupt league would want Bournemouth in it! Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Looking at the 2 teams selected for the manchester derby, United got a big problem. Quote
