Full marks to the Greeks in executing a slick ambush. No one expected them to come out firing and Villa were 2-0 down before they'd even settled. Not over as you'd expect a good PL side to be streets ahead of a Greek one but it's a mountain to climb. Possible but unlikely. Leverkusen looking really good. As you say, at the start of the season the odds would have been enormous. I suspected that City would be PL champions (yet to happen!) but not that Leverkusen would have such a great season. Could not have envisaged their complete dominance over Bayern but anticipated that they might win a cup somewhere and be in the top 3 at home. If they win the Europa and City clinch the title, I am not expecting Kaiserslautern to present them with any problems in the Pokal. It's thinking like this which catches you out!
