Rival Son Posted November 12 Posted November 12 (edited) 27 minutes ago, Casino said: Ulster is another oddball In what way? The island of Ireland is divided into 32 counties in 4 provinces. Ulster is one of these provinces and made up of the 9 most northerly counties. Pretty straightforward division of the island. Confusion arises when people incorrectly refer to Northern Ireland as Ulster. Northern Ireland is comprised of only 6 of the 9 counties of Ulster. One of the 3 that are part of the Republic of Ireland is Donegal, which happens to include the most northerly part of the island. This explains why the most northerly part of the island, is not in Northern Ireland. Edited November 12 by Rival Son Quote

Rival Son Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Not wanting to get into the politics of Ireland, but is it Ulster that is oddball, or the separation into two countries? Quote

Moderators Zico Posted November 12 Moderators Posted November 12 Just done some googling and apparently since the good Friday agreement someone from Northern Ireland can choose to identify as British, Irish or both I suspect McClean chooses Irish Given he chose to play for Ireland. Amongst other things Quote

So he lives in Spain ironically with his British missus who can't legally live (alone) in Spain due to Brexit. But she can as partner of an EU citizen. Quote

I don’t think he’ll see the season out. The fanfare for his 3rd spell is class though. Totti is speculating he may come out of retirement at 48😳 Quote
