I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

I like the optimism but are you really thinking we'll start beating the better teams to get up near the top 2?

If so what's changing versus so far this season (and previous seasons)?

Fwiw scraping 1 nil wins away at Burton during a storm is exactly what you do if you're serious about promotion (we haven't won there the last 3 seasons)

Tbf We scraped a win v Blackpool in a storm.

Let’s see how we do against these so called better teams when we’ve got full compliment of players with 3 in midfield…. I think we are well capable of beating the better teams given a run without key players being injured.

Stretford sacked Sporting Director Dan Ashworth, father of Zach, after yesterday's match. After only 5 months.

Said to be a 'mutual decision' after "Ashworth was seen walking through the press conference room with the club's chief operating officer Collette Roche after the game".  Yes, it was THAT 'mutual'.

Roche has been an extremely fortunate HR executive all around the North West. Businesses she's worked it are very woke/right on and pay highly & they normally have troubles not long after she leaves. But she always exits upward.

Tickets for yesterday's match went on open sale (at £66 for an under 16)

There were protests outside the stadium earlier this week over the increase to ticket prices, with chants of "just like the Glazers, Jim Ratcliffe's a cunt"

Oh dear

Good. Said it at the time. Glazers have played a blinder here. Jim is now taking the heat and they have  value and share in what they are arsed about. The brand.

Discussing this on the wireless a few minutes ago.

Apparently, the new group are keen to "control" the playing side of things. Whether the new managerial team will accept that longer term, could be a bone of contention.

Ashworth spent longer on gardening leave than he did at United.

Love it.

Good it couldn't happen to a nicer set of fans ,well maybe the dippers.

It will give all the "massive" reds that gob off in every local in the land whenever they are on TV another excuse that they can use to justify the fact that they have never set foot in the ground.

Fuck em they have got what they deserve

He does seem to have paid over the odds to now be doing all the hard work for 25%.

Oh well, can't but laugh

Aye the beauty of it is I’d be happy for any of them to win it outside of Milan and Juventus which looks likely at this stage.

Car crash waiting to happen..

Love the marking the 6 yard box/space by Wolves.  What a surprise, someone chose to avoid that area and head it in unopposed.
