I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Peterborough lose again !

Gary O’Neil and Wolves must be fuming after that match. First West Ham goal from corner that wasn’t. Second West Ham goal after a blatant foul. And 2 penalties that are given almost every time not given to Wolves

Yes but it's Wolves. We are the one and only Wanderers.

Satan will be mortified at the old golds misfortune :D

Exactly this. I’d given up on the dog heads as they were flying and we were shit. But recently it feels like they are on their way back down. If they drop from the premier league I could see it getting messy for them. Bring it on.

Aye

Wolves been caught in that cycle and it's probably there turn to drop

Nuno was doing fine till he left for whatever reason and they've been treading water since

Bit like us after Alladyce

Stoke after Pulis

Charlton after Curbishley

Bournemouth after Howe etc though they recovered well

They'll soon drop

Bournemouth drop soon?

Not sure about that one.

Doing rather well, and keep doing so, despite manager changes etc.

they did after Howe left

(edit, he took them down, it basically went stale)

as said, they've turned it round since

the "they'll soon drop" final sentence was about Wolves

Ah, OK.

Hopefully, Everton will go with them.

Not while Southampton and Ipswich are around.

This could be the dullest relegation "battle" in memory, although I can see Wolves making a fist of it once O'Neill goes and they get in someone who can organise a defence, because they do have some good players.

North West Tonight on BBC1 have just shown the iconic McGinlay cross/ Walker header at Anfield.  They were playing a bit of commentary by Gerald Sinstadt and chose that goal over all others! (the piece was presented by Ian Haslam, Wanderers S/T holder).

Ipswich have been playing far better that the results suggest.

Fwiw, I don't think wolves will drop.

Wolves next two are Ipswich home and Leicester away

Then utd at home

Could easily be 9 or 0 points given how shit they and the opposition are

Agreed Ipswich playing OK, but I'd say the same for Southampton, they play some decent stuff and are in most games.  They are hamstrung by their obligation to faff around at the back and not mark at corners, but I could see them getting some wins with a different manager, same as Wolves.

Wolves do have a chance but there's only WHU, EFC, Palace and Ruud Van Nistelroy's Leicester that could possibly be dragged into it and of those only RVN's Leicester for me could replace one of the current bottom 3, the others will pick up their results like they do year after year.

Just seen it's Rangers v Spurs tonight

And we've got Villa v Celtic in Jan

10-0 England

I never back Spurs

or Everton

just can't trust them to lose or win when you expect them to

Watching Ange lay into Timo Werner is interesting. No puches pulled. 33 games 3 goals since he joined, fortunately on loan.

I think he's shite, proper crap. But his manager on tv should,  perhaps, be a tad more considered. But no, f'kit. Tell the tosser.

He reminds me David Lee.

He'd have been mint as a 90s winger when the only decision you had to make was how hard to cross it in.

I don't have that problem with Everton as I just never expect them to win, I can never see them scoring, its a surprise when they beat a L1 team in a cup with a full strength team.

The two I avoid in championship are Blackburn and PNE.  Whenever I back them to lose away they pick up a scabby 1-0 win of the type we never seem to be able to master (feels like we always have to be clearly the best team to win away).

Werner's pace is his enemy. It gets him in positions where it gives him time and when he has time to think his head falls off lol.  His speed probably enabled him to flattrack his way through youth level and he didn't devolop the rest of his game. Reminds me of a teenage Walcott but at least he made some improvements over the years

as well as not backing them, I also don't back who they are playiung because like you i never expect them to win

then they do something like beating brighton 5-1 away and fucking you up

I just don't trust them or spurs to do what I expect them to

I avoid Utd for the same reasons these days, you just can't trust them to win, or to lose

Derby playing some good stuff here and on the floor too. Pompey look shocking.
