I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Interest post just now on the live BBC feed on tonight’s games.  Remind you of anyone? 🤔🤔🤔

“Russell Martin is everything that’s wrong with modern coaches. Imposing a style of play that doesn’t suit the team with no compromises or ideas on how to adapt to different situations or opponents. Lazy.”

Massives v Stretford.

Referee Anthony Taylor of Wythenshaw. Former Altrincham Grammar pupil.

He'll have been a supporter of one or the other from his youth. How's he got the gig ?

So I believe. That's bullshit. He knows it, I do & you do I'm sure.

Not that he did much wrong but it opens up so many opportunities for accusations.

Gonna make it a hat trick of sackings today surely.

It feels like a great weekend for football.

Pep-ball, Evatt-ball and Martin-faff getting found out again, O'Neill to a lesser extent but another that over thinks it, pisses around at the back and is too modern to ask his defenders to mark up.

I'd love to think the tide is turning, and real football can start to make a bit of a comeback.  Kicking the ball forward, marking up, tackling, shooting, crossing, that sort of thing.  Its the future 🤞

You could disappear down so many wormholes re refs. If he was born in Stockport and registered as a fan of them? Born in Little Hulton and registered as a Wanderer? Favouring City or United in either scenario?

Not worth bothering about. Decent ref imo

Not really

He could just as easily be a Stockport fan

Or his dad was a Liverpool fan so he was too

Etc

Excellent whatiffery. Bllx, but well done.

Palace fans singing "Is there a fire drill ?" as Brighton fans poured out of the ground at 0-3, 1-3.

I hope Wigan fans see the opportunity they missed.

They haven’t discovered fire yet.

You started it

"What if he's really a Utd or City fan"

Before delivering what was an impartial refereeing performance

Haha. Very true.

Hibs are my local team & I'd want them to win them over Celtic. But I can't bring myself to support the Rangers.

Mad as fuck. Screams desperation. Trying random shit in the hope that something clicks. Just go back to fucking basics ffs, don't introduce even more complications.

Are we all Lazio then?

0-4.

I'm going Inter.

Inter giving out a schooling here

Nipped round to Fleetwood tonight (step daughter works in local school and got a couple of comps), good game v Accrington, enjoyed the match night experience, Nelson had a solid game for Accrington, won his challenges and tidy on the ball all night.

Accrington should have been at least 3 up at HT, two absolute sitters missed, Adam made big changes in break, Fleetwood a lot better, cracking equaliser and hit bar a few mins later.

Pints of Asahi or Madri in bar at very reasonable prices and some decent cheap grub. Good crack all round

Expect them to be strong all the way to the end of the season now and another scudetto. Hoping for Napoli of course but I am expecting them to fade away but end up top four.

Still think there will be a few twists and turns. Did you watch the game? Lazio were the better team till the first goal which was a big VAR check and disallowed but then they found a handball for a pen in the build up.

After that, it became very un Italian and they went for the jugular. Some great goals but Barella’s was a peach.

On paper they have the best team.

Often thought about having a wander down. It's a great set up. Jim's bar and bit of footy.

Love it when my lads have a match at Poolfoot. Ace there too, good pint and a fancy fish finger butty :D

I'm only 10 mins away, was back in the house at 10.00 from an 8.00 KO 👍

Poolfoot's a tremendous set up all round, including the food and drink side of things.

Fleetwood do a great job of the community side of the club, loads of good work in the local area.

Young Phoenix Patterson for Fleetwood a L2 Postman, can dig out some great crosses

I didn't mate. Waiting for 'Full Impact' highlights show later today.

The Turk is a big factor for them. Seem a much more 'rudderless' team when he doesn't play.
