I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Just been to get tickets for Barnsley and Lincoln games (the only place at Middlebrook with no queue 😆).  Pleasantly surprised that Lincoln is a "community day" so all tickets £10 (£5 concessions).  I've not noticed any publicity for it.

Whilst that's great, it also seems a bit ridiculous that it goes from one extreme (£32) to less than a third of the price 3 days later for essentially the same product.

As there are 2 games in 4 days, would anyone have complained if it had been £20 each?  £32 for a routine L1 game is horrendous.  No booking fee as I went to ticket office, so even more to buy at home.

In comparison £26 total for adult and child at Mansfield.

Supply and demand. Boxing Day always a popular game, whoever we’re playing and however we’re playing.

There would be even more there if it wasn't £32.  Its not like we're taking advantage of a big away following as with a local derby/Birmingham/Wrexham etc.

TBH I don't have strong feelings on it and I'm not having a big go at the club other than to comment that £32 is steep.  Its just a passing comment that if they're virtually giving away tickets for 29th December but over-charging for 26th Dec, a compromise somewhere in the middle wouldn't have made such a difference to income would it?  I'm absolutely certain plenty won't go on Boxing Day when they see the prices.

I think it costs a lot more money to stage a game on Boxing Day than it does on the 29th December.

If we get a home game on Boxing Day it is automatically allocated the highest category. Makes sense and sells.

I long to see us score a goal like that villa goal.

Jeez, Citeh are in a right muddle.

Wigan pegged back by Shrewsbury!

So infuriating our lack of effect against them.

Chatting to city fans and the squad seems a bit all over the place

Players like doku, nunes and Lewis just aren't good enough compared to what they've had previously

Then they see players like Palmer and Alvarez smashing it at other clubs and there's questions over there transfers in and out

Form of previously great players like walker and Silva completely gone

The hunger just isn't there, apparently Silva wants to go to Barcelona for a change of scenery

Injury to Rodri doesn't help but that is far from the main issue

Barnsley being dry bummed by Leyton Orient. This seems familiar😂

This is where Fergie earnt his stripes.

He rebuilt his sqaud a good 3-4 times.

Looks like they don't have the legs for Peps intensity as a group anymore.

Like you say, Nunes and Doku etc aren't the level city need.

They need to get the checkbook out and get some ready made talent so save this season.

Total rebuild next summer.

I thought Doku was great last season.

Oscar Bobb looked a fine player too, but injured.

Stepdaughter's a City ST holder, knows her stuff, mix of factors. Rodri absence the main one plus some of those recent signings not up to it as you say. Lost some legs in midfield, Gundogan and Kovacic both chuggers, a few others dropped off it a yard with the pressing they were collectively so good at.

You wonder if Pep said 'sign me that Matheus bloke at Wolves' and got the wrong one. Cunha would add something for them

Bit like us they don't have any pace or anyone that can beat a man.

I think his curse on football has caught him up and he's forgotten the spell to stop it.

Watching Leverkusen v Freiburg. That Leverkusen can counter attack at some pace. Back to front in seconds. Good to watch.

The Massives round here talk about Pep like he’s a Pound Shop Evatt. No plan B, players being played out of position, no quality on the bench, blah fucking blah

Joyous. Utterly joyous :D. Bitter Bertie Bastards

Feel sorry for Grealish. Love him. Not as much as you obvs but they have ruined him. Free spirit forced to do a job in a system that in no way suits him. Needs to move or his career could stall massively which would be a right shame

Yep, with you all the way.

I loved the way he adapted in that 2nd season. Took Pep a year to get him drilled to be a cog in his machine. Ball retention and nothing else matters.

But all his mercurial talent seems to have been coached out of him :(

Always loved the lad because he plays with a smile on his face, like he's still with his mates down the local park.

Seems to have lost that shine now. Drilled to death on not to lose the ball and keep it ticking. Lad can't express himself and doesn't get enough of a run to get going.

Needs to leave and get a central role like his last few games for England.

Barca v Atleti on itv 4. Team El cholo

I usually think that when I watch Championship goals.  The quality of finishing, the pace and ability to shoot with power and accuracy from distance just looks like its from a different game to the one we're playing.

Although Tomo's goal v Blackpool was up there with as good a shot as I've seen outside the Prem this season.

McAtee's goal from Schon's Cross a while back was absolute wanking tackle, and would grace any league in the world.

They're just not very common.

Tremendous game and couple of well taken goals

I'd forgotten all about Connor Gallagher.

He's done all right out there, played a fair bit and seems to be well liked

Oh yes
