If I ever see two games in the rest of my life as good as these two have been I will die a happy man. I'd watch these 'farmers' brilliance any day of the week over Liverpool huff and puff. Quote

ianofcleveleys Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 Incredible tie over both legs, gripping drama. Sommer superb in goal for Inter, just makes top saves and catches, no drama or histrionics. Quote
London Wanderer Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 best CL semi final ever I reckon, over the two legs. Quote
bolty58 Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 Not an immediate reaction as I had to take stock of what I'd just seen. Decided that this is great news for Napoli. Inter will almost certainly continue to be distracted in the league. Toying with going over for the Cagliari home game which finishes the season. Then again, folk will be firing guns and shit in celebration if it happens so maybe discretion should be the better part of valour? Next decision? An annual good bet on Barcelona to win the Champions League for at least each of the next five years - possibly ten. What will this team become when they grow up? I suspect that the answer will be 'phenomenal'. This game/tie turned out to be a battle between Italian resilience and efficiency against Spanish possession and flair. I have a hunch the latter would win more than half if they played ten CL semi finals. Quote

When I realised it wasn't on it was already kicking off and I wasn't too mithered, plenty other stuff to get on with. God knows how the less than committed are supposed to keep up with how to watch games. Quote

I wonder if Liverpool have ever signed a player on a free that previously played for their local club. And its not like he's done a Sol Campbell and gone to local rivals. They don't do themselves any favours, its pathetic and self-important. Player moves to a bigger club shock. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 7, 2025 Posted May 7, 2025 Just looking at tonight's scores and saw that Nassr were hosting Ithihad. 2-2 currently, and the goalscorers are rather decent. TTA's next move? 😁 Quote
