I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Certainly a competitive package

They paid 75m for him smashing the league record of 20m set last season

In a world where strikers are hard to come by, you've got him playing in Turkey and Tony playing in Saudi

Slags

Aye, just mean I don't think he'll make the difference Arsenal need to win the title, whereas had had they signed Osimhen I'd have thought maybe they'd have a better chance

Couldn't see City or Liverpool signing him

That said, Osimhen signed for Galatassary permanently, I thought he'd do better than that

Have to agree on the Osimhen/Galatasaray thing. Felt sure he'd end up in the Prem.

Agree that Liverpool or Man City wouldn't have signed Gyokeres too. Wrong type for them - certainly for Pep ball.

Different for Arsenal IMO. All they were missing over the last two seasons was a finisher who could manhandle defences a bit. I think they've found him.

Aye, well they've got the midfield and forwards they've been missing so fully hoping they can give Liverpool and City a run for their money

Tuned into Como v Lazio

It's so slow, like watching players run around in treacle

Morata just come up for Como

Given it's his 8th club and 11th move surprised he's only 32

Etete had a hand in two goals for Rotherham v Wigan yesterday. We've missed a trick 😉

Quite amusing Rangers have had their worst start in something like 36 years yet are unbeaten

Been in Paisley today, the Gers bunch are not a happy lot to say the least

Martin was a weird appointment in the first place IMO. Another dead man walking.

Get Big Sam in and watch it fly!

I very much enjoyed watching Stretford's Fernandes go into a melt down yesterday because he walked backwards into the ref whilst preparing to take a penalty.

Wanker.

Great player, most of the time, but a complete wanker.

The poor love's upset that he didn't apologise

Arsenal need some bottle and a new manager before they realistically start challenging for titles again

I don't know how I feel about this referee explaining the VAR call through a microphone malarkey

Horrendous

Another nail

The Premier League reeks of American sporting noncery now. Proper rank.

I grimaced as I heard it. We've yet to hear the halftime interview  🥰

The lack of in-ground VAR information has been a big gripe for matchgoing fans so I understand the logic, but yeah @deeane Koontz is spot on with the Americanisation of it all

Definitely a red though. Shocking challenge by Gordon.

The officials interpretation & VAR seemed to be favouring the Rags yesterday. Hope that's not going to become a trend.

Liverpool's 2 goals have both been absolutely unsaveable (if that's a word!)

The clue is, has it been introduced recently into Premier League football?

If yes, the answer is its shit and further spoils the game.
