Sticking with 3 at the back.

Mount at LWB and De Ligt at RWB. Amazing.

Amorim is just a Portuguese Ian Evatt.

Absolutely this. I could tell you from the moment he played Newcastle last season, one of the best and most dynamic midfields in the league, with a fat Casemerio and finished Eriksen as his midfield two that he’s a shocker.

He clearly had a system at Sporting that worked in that league with the players he had. To be so rigid and arrogant that you impose that exact same style on a completely different set of players who are clearly completely unsuited to it, just because it’s “your way” is nothing short of idiocy.

The best managers are adaptable and those that aren’t are really starting to show themselves up - Amorim, Martin, Van Nistelrooy and Evatt being the obvious ones that spring to mind.

It's his "philosophy"

that goalkeeper shouldve been bounced out the minute he started screaming at harry mcguire in that pre season friendly.

that he's dropping clangers himself every half an hour since then is pretty funny .

The picture of Amorin sitting in the dug-out not watching will be his 'McClaren with the brolly' moment.

Like Rishi in the rain.

Unless he turns things around remarkably it will define him.

Scotch football is absolute cowshit.

English lads who go and watch it are only there for the sectarian element.

no way on this earth does anyone with half a brain go “for the football”.

I very much disagree with that after the Hibs game tonight

All four Scottish teams have lost their play off matches, this week. Whatever the excitement of the individual match, Hibs have just been knocked out of Europe, from a competition which saw Shamrock Rovers and Shelbourne from the League of Ireland qualify.

You can dress it up how you want, but Scottish club football is an absolute mess.

Just a random bit of trivia. Olomouc is a town in the Czech Republic sponsored by the local engineering company, Sigma. It is also the site where the manufacturing of Hick Hargreaves moved to and why there is now a Sainsburys on our old site in Bolton. Due to the connection, there are many BWFC fans in Olomouc. 😊

FC Boby Brno were once in the Cup Winners Cup.😉

I think you missed his point

Which is what?

On first reading, I thought he disagreed with the sectarian comment; which, incidentally, I do.

However, I then recognised that he hadn’t highlighted this part of the quote. Instead, he highlighted the “football” point. I took this to mean the quality of the football.

If it’s something else then, yes, I missed the point; but the point is not clear to me.

Because it was an absolutely unreal game and a hell of a performance against the odds. So, yes, very much about the football.

There’s no point comparing SPFL teams with EPL teams in Europe because the financial disparity is so big, it’s all relative with the smaller European leagues which the Conference League is great for. After beating a seeded team in the last round against Partizan Belgrade, Legia wasn’t really much of a reward!

Getting kept back at the ground until 1.45am wasn’t exactly ideal though 🤯

There were at least a dozen more favourable draws in that round that would probably have seen Hibs through.
