What does 'local' actually mean in the context of the FFP

So many years wt the club before a certain age.

So Micah Richards counts as does Joe Hart I think as he came from Shrewsbury early enough.

When you factor in what they have done for regeneration of that dump, it comes across as very harsh Imo.

Radio says they are along way from agreeing a settlement with Uefa.

Local is training from a certain age. Not straight forward. For example, Fabregas is considered an arsenal local etc.

This may sound dumb, but I will ask anyway .... for example say player was sign from Utd and had come up through their ranks ( and was born say in sale) and now played with city would that be classed as local or not, or does the term local mean something completely different to UEFA

Where's the current fad/love-in with City come from? It barely seems two minutes since they were scratting around in the third tier, still at that Moss Side shithole and Shaun Goater up front...Next thing loads of manc twats are on Look Northwest donning teatowels on their heads and they have success bought for them, coupled with that the incidence of sky blue replica tops being worn in Bolton increases by 96.%...

Now they've got to pay a surcharge for the priviledge - tough titty.

Fuck 'em.

Na mate, from how I see it, its local meaning nationally trained. So if the player has trained in England they qualify for all English teams.

On Fm if you get in Europe you need 4 trained at the club in that 8. Not sure if that applies in real life.

I think it's home-grown ie UK, not per club.

But I'm guessing here tbh.

Must be right then, as FIFA/UEFA get all their ideas from video games.

To be fair UEFA thought of it first!

Not UK. England, Scotland are separate already for UEFA purposes.

Hence the extra paperwork with loans from Cardiff.

Btw Liverpool are top of the Fair Play League. Ha ha.

I wonder if the 4 unused ones where 'locals'

There's also murmurs of a salary cap, too

Casino

Will believe it when he sees it

The fair play is unfair

If people want to invest a billion, go ahead

The long established big clubs have spent loads, just over a longer period. It's crap

Posted

Said it before, uefa and the fa or whoever just want a piece of the action

Correct.

It's just a UEFA plan to take some cash of the rich clubs.

Heard Phil Jones is probably out of the World Cup after last night.  Alan Brazil saying it's bad news for England.  Personally I think it's excellent news the gormless looking cunt is out..

Stones before Jones!

Saying that I'd have most options ahead of Jones, I really don't rate him

With our centre back options looking very short does this mean Hodgson will do the sensible thing and get Terry to come back?

Before anyone says he's a cunt I don't give a shit, Cahill and Terry at the back would give us the best chance of going as far as we can in the tournament, that will do for me.
