  • Everyone was above us except Blackpool when Lenny took over

  • indeed   but we dont need to be the best   we need to be sixth   i did say that this was potentially an easier run of games as we'd played most of the top teams when lennon took over but cardiff

On the other hand, our run of fixtures until we Play Derby away on the 7th Feb couldn't have landed much better with the difficult matches in the run all coming at Home

The 5 teams above us in the league today all won yesterday. Assuming we do see player movement in Jan the important thing will be getting those incoming players integrated playing catch up we can not afford a settling in period.

I think we are not good enough and need a lot to be good enough, be delighted to be proved wrong though.

Any players who come in will hit the ground running when Lennon took over he changed the formation changed players positions brought in players who hadn't been playing and we gelled straight away. Players prefer a simple formation and if it works there's no need to change it its old school but it works. What DF was thinking fuck only knows.

By and large, Lennon has kept it very simple by playing players in their correct positions.

Pity the players weren't clever enough for Dougie's ideas

I hope they do but if they have not been playing week in week out at current club it is about match fitness/sharpness.

I think we are an average team in a division full of average teams, a few good signings and getting on a roll, god knows where it takes us.

Onwards and upwards.

I heard a good interview with Lonergan on Radio Manc.

He said the players were enjoying training more, but certainly knew who was in charge.

The major change was a 7-minute one touch game on Fridays with lots of shooting.

I suspect this will have sharpened attacking movement and helped end the goal drought.

Sounds like a lot more simplistic than the serie A type "pick a team 3 weeks in advance" methods employed by the previous incumbent. I think its definitely the best approach in the championship.

This is where I'm at.

Under the previous wrecking ball twat stain we signed Dawson and nearly made the play offs. We were then going down without a fight and the simple addition of the juke turned our fortune.

We are not a million miles away from a decent run that could push us on towards the play offs IMO.

It's a tough but mediocre division. Fine lines and all that.

10 points behind Blackburn in last play off spot who we play Boxing Day, watched Ipswich sat and they didn't impress at all for their league position so for me it's game on

Agree with the above. This is there for taking. Coywm

Booooooooo

Bring back the table tennis.

What ever he's doing he's doing it right! Never seen such a change in confidence from the players right through to the fans.

10 off the play offs, 15 off promotion

and thats after an away game

win next week and itll be single figures

Another notch in steadying the ship as far as i am concerned. The ol 1 point away and 3 at home might have us within striking distance come mid April.

I'm still of the mindset that finishing around mid-table will be a great achievement this season. Anything above 12th would be very impressive.

Win our homes and draw the aways, we'll be mid-table by end of year..

Same for me and also considering we gave everyone a 10 game head start.

And play offs by May
