Any real fan who wants one should be ok...as someone else said, how often do we get 5.5k following us away? A good proportion of those there will not be regular away fans.

I will be there tomorrow and so will my daughter  and we didn't try to beg for free tickets.

Who's begging for free tickets?

And the point remains, that it'll be a poor show if some non-ST holder who goes to regular away games misses out so someone can take their kids on gloryhunting awayday.

Dont understand your point pal. I will not bother taking my daughter who is the future of the club in case someone can't get a ticket. If there is 1 left the day before i might buy it for her.

Does anybody know for defo hw many each season ticket holder can buy if it's 1 then anybody who wants a ticket will get one and they will make open sale?

At the risk of sounding even more of a cunt than usual...

...if folk taking their kids to their first ever away game means that regular away fans miss out on a ticket, then that's wrong.

The first bit of that is more right than the second bit! It's the club who decide that home games ie season tickets qualifies fans for dibs on away tickets I make no apologies whatsoever if the club wish to insist kids have to attended a game at each league level away for example before they can "qualify" for a prem ground then I'll happily comply and its the usual superfan debate if I go to more away games that you but you go to all home games I am a superfan I think away games are largely agreed to be better than home games so maybe they're the real glory hunters??!! then they should get probably get a season ticket,

Is it definitely 2 per season ticket?

I'm not sure where that has come from. Surely it's 1 per season ticket as usual. I really don't see how the club can work it a better way.

Besides I don't fancy sitting with knobheads taking people to their first game because it's a novelty not knowing whigh teams which or what songs to sing.

A bit of a generalisation there.

Let's take an example like garrp. He's not got a season ticket, but goes to every game he can.

Goes to more away games than most of our fans, but might struggle to get one for this game.

As he lives/works in London, a season ticket isn't really going to work for him, but shouldn't he get one for this game?

On the other side of the coin re: season ticket holders.

It's a piss poor effort if these tickets go on open sale.

5,500 tickets between 12,000 season ticket holders and the club will drop you off, surely they should sell out?

this is a bit of a one off scenario & frankly, if someone goes to so many aways then surely they'll have the network to use the season ticket of someone not going. The way clubs do it suits it for the vast majority. I can't see how they can cater for everyone, but that's life, people deal with it.
