The Furthest You Have Walked Home.

Most recent was a few years ago from Frodsham to Warrington then a bus home on a Sunday Morning, the worst was Sparkbrook in South Birmingham to Stafford through the night then a lift on the M6 in 1970.

Most recent was Wigan to Horwich calling for the worst pizza I've ever had from the pizza shop in scholes. Meant to get a taxi but, like forest gump, started walking and didn't stop.

After a night out in manc got to Bolton, had a few there then walked along the tracks to Lostock for my car

Looe to Plymouth

4 of us missed our coach at Blackburn in the 70's, we got legged down towards the Golden Cup pub, we turned right there and finally ended up in Belmont, got a bus to town from there

Chorley to Adlington is a bit of a trek, especially when you have been on the lash with Birch for 10 hours

Got on the wrong train back from Manchester and ended up in Wigan when pissed up. Adamant I wasn't parting with £25 I walked to Adlington. Thought it was a great idea at 12:30, not so much at 3am when I'd sobered up and freeaing cold walking through the front door.

Worst thing being the next day when my mate told me he drove past and wondered why I was walking through Aspull on my own at half one. Never even stopped to check!

I'm notorious for walking... many time traipsed home to LH from Manchester, frequently walked back from Burnden.  Worse one was Birchwood, or possibly when I took a wrong turn coming out of Heaton Park following the Roses gig and walked to Bury via Heywood.  About 9 miles- i just bought 6 cans of JD and ginger and had an hour in the bus terminal; some strange sights

Looe to Plymouth

Along the coast path to Torpoint?

Done that about 15 miles during the day, but on a stagger home, that's impressive.

From Scraptoft to Leicester at about four in the morning

Pissed so though the easiest route was to head for the city centre then back out to where I lived

Took hours then realised after looking at map later, there was a huge short cut I could have taken

Had to walk from the bay mare to Radcliffe when snow was mad a few year back.

It was planned. I was young. 8 pints, walked home along the main road. Wouldn't do it now. Hopefully.

Mind you, the roads were a lot quieter in 50's

I'm a lazy git at the best of times and especially so after a few jars. Probably the longest walk though back to my digs was after Wlad v Haye in Hamburg - about 5 miles in driving rain so nothing too major

The line needs modernising. Commuting to London is light years ahead of commuting to Manchester. Meant for the train thread.

A dozen San miguels, then a walk home from Lloret De Mar to Santa Susanna - 15km.

Other side of Wigan to Deane - had loads to drink, so it didn't seem all that far at the time. Bolton town centre to Hunger Hill loads of times in my youth

Bad mistake to try to leg it back from Besiktas. I'm somewhere in Holland now I think. Or maybe Sweden - it's all a blur to be honest. Do they speak Russian in Holland or Sweden, or have I been going in the wrong direction for the last 10 years?

Story goes back to 1993. to set the scene, it's New Years eve, doing nicely in Maxwells, loads of pussy on the dancefloor, cop off with the stunner in the red dress, to cut a long story short, get her in a taxi to Little Hulton, twitching away, result, she get's a phone call, husband on his way home, it's new years eve, I'm stuck in L/H and had to walk back to Heaton wondering what might have been.

Are you sure she was a stunner?....... from LH?

everywhere is a long walk with my little legs

Manchester to Little Hulton. Hitched a lift to Tranmere on a Friday night in the early seventies. The bloke said he'd give us a lift home but he'd gone when we got back. Train to Lime St. then train to Manc. Missed the last train to Bolton so a long walk back. Had a good lie in on the Saturday!

From Syndicate in Blackpool to my B&B fooking miles away in rain/snow/Gail force winds in stupid sky scraper heels after losing my friends at 3am. 18 years old and frigging daft!
