Mick I am very surprised by your lack of knowledge about this. Many MP's do very good and important work in Select Committees, others spend a huge amount of time dealing with issues of constituents. They also need to keep in touch with what is happening in their areas, meeting businesses, community organisations, local politicians etc, etc.
