Bigtoe Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 He isnt a wingback thats for sure. On his todd for most of that game. Who was on his side? Redmond? He couldnt leave that side too exposed. I cant knock him. As a right midfielder/winger he has done well for us. He puts a shift in. He does love rolling his foot over the ball a lot though. Quote
HR Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 He's a trier and has good attributes like his pace. A decent squad player but seems to take 2/3 seconds to get his head up and his play is often very predictable. Like someone else said he would be better cutting inside now and then or releasing quickly but he is often isolated out wide. Quote

Why does he always roll his foot over the ball and do his stopovers ? Must be habit cos I've never actually seen him fool a defender once doing this. He should stop acting like Ronaldo, just get the ball in the box or even better get in the box himself and cut inside sometimes and shoot, don't think I've ever seen him take a shot. Quote

He's scored 3 times this season kinda hard to do without shooting. He also tops the assists chart, id say that's a good reason for a winger being picked Quote
Cinnykid Posted April 14, 2015 Author Posted April 14, 2015 Harry redknapp had more assists at west ham than legendary bobby moore, thats what he's supposed to do. He's on the wing and never missed a game with lennon. Quote

Cinnykid Posted April 14, 2015 Author Posted April 14, 2015 Why do we always hate players?Bit extreme, hate.Just think he's a terrible footballer and stealing a living. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Bit extreme, hate. Just think he's a terrible footballer and stealing a living. Ok hate maybe wrong word. But seems we target someone different and the it becomes the popular thing to target them, jumping on every mistake every error and every miss, every mistimed pass, missing a chance etc etc. opinions yes, discussions yes fine, Nolan & Eagles are two that spring to mind, lads not great but maybe all the shit he gets affects him on the pitch, Quote
embankment Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Struggled this evening to get a decent cross in. Could not beat his man. But does work hard. Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Should have been the match winner tonight, on a plate from Davies. Quote
jules_darby Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 He was the epitome of the way we played tonight Launch balls into ALF without looking, who in turn is surrounded by 3-4 of their lot on his own Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 That miss at the end was a shocker. He does deserve a bit of slack though as he's been asked to do all sorts of jobs that aren't part of his limited repertoire. Play him as a winger in a 4-4-2 and he'll do a simple, reliable job, he's not a wing back, full back or support striker, all of which he's been asked to do at sometime or another. Alright he wasn't great tonight, not many were but some on that ground tonight want to have a look at themselves. We all have those who get under our skin or try our patience a bit but the stick Feeney's getting is over the top and I also heard one bloke screaming to get Walker off, really helpful to a young kid learning in a hard school. Big E Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I never hated him before but after missing that tonight I hate him almost as much as the dick who said bet on the win Quote

Piemon Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 dont get this Feeney bashing myself. limited ability but always puts a shift in. His crosses last night werent all that bad Also the worst 'miss' of the season goes to Bannan against Blackpool Quote
Traf Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Also the worst 'miss' of the season goes to Bannan against Blackpool What about the bird with a beard who won Eurovision? Quote
CumbrianWhite Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 He's a tryer but his final ball is really, really poor. Quote
MickyD Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 I remember this phenomenon of passing to spaces without a player near when when we got Sasa Cirçic. Maybe Feeney is another footballer who puts the ball into places the players ought to be heading towards rather than where they actually are. Or maybe not. Quote
RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Danns & Feeney are here because we are a bottom half of the championship 2 years running. They are both limited but always give everything. I'm sure some folk expect to see Xavi & Ronaldo running out for us....mind you even if they did they would be labelled shit & a disgrace if they dared to have a dip in form. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Danny's ain't the same player without Pratley Quote
gonzo Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Danny's ain't the same player without Pratley Id agree with that. Danns season took a downturn when Pratley got injured. (As our season as a whole did too) I like danns, but he struggles deep and has too much time to think. Quote
