Riordan returned to Hibs as a free agent in 2008 but left in 2011 and signed for Chinese Super League club Shaanxi Chan-Ba which was total disaster after his two-year contract was mutually terminated after just four months.

He then signed for St. Johnstone on a short term contract in March 2012 before signing for Bristol Rovers, but he was released after a three-month deal and has since had short spells with Alloa Athletic, Brechin City and East Fife.

I would have thought that he would want to be somewhere that is going to guarantee that he gets paid each month, at the minute that's not here. It's a shite state of affairs that for once we have a decent player come through the academy, and we may not get a decent price for him due to our current plight.

 

He's certainly got to prove that he's not going to break every 10 games before we can talk about how good he actually is. I would have thought for a PL team to have a punt on him at £1M (or less) is probably a fairly good calculated gamble though, so I wouldn't be surprised if a few teams came knocking

We're losing £900K per month, nobody wants to buy the club, we're not paying players  -  we might have no choice but to sell.

Good question I guess £1.5-2m would represent good business for what he's done it's all about the sell on as he's still at least 75% potential trying think of comparable player sold from that level upwards but not coming up with much

Gary Bale and his compatriots from Southampton are probably what we're aiming for. Probably not quite theo money up front.
