On Moxey leaving..

That's a free transfer for those asking - he is one of the bigger earners in the #bwfc squad.

With the exception of Clough and Davies, I would imagine we would let any of the others go for nothing, just to get them off the wage bill

With all due respect, would a new manager stop strikers from missing sitters?

Would he stop defenders from gifting possession to the opposition?

Would he stop goalkeepers from cocking up simple saves?

Would he ensure players currently on massive wages get paid something more affordable before their contracts are up?

I think people over-estimate the influence a manager has.

But it's a ritual, isn't it? Team do badly, a sacrifice is needed. Appease the footballing gods, or whatever's So get shut. Just be aware that, unless something more fundamental changes, everyone will be calling for the new bloke's head in 12-18 months time. Assuming there's stil a club then.

no but a new manager might stop aiming long balls up to a series of stumps that were signed by the clueless irish slapper swagger!!

Nixon says Moxey not on much. Good to see Iles and Nixon guessing like the rest of us.

Sorry should have said shagger!

Bloody predictive text.

I reckon a good manager can have a huge impact, in particular with motivation. Unfortunately no seems to be lacking in motivation himself.

He looks like he'd be better off packing it in for the good of his health, never mind his career

We've got about as much chance of getting a good manager in as we have getting a good striker

We're just going to have to hope that Jimmy Phillips is

The scinic in me doubts it though, if he was any good he wouldn't have been sorting our stiffs out for 15 years and would have made his own way

Let's just hope he can make a reasonable caretaker until things settle down

No doubt. We have to accept where we are and where we'll be shopping in the future. We need a manager with experience of lower leagues who can rebuild long term.

Won't happen though until everything is sorted and NL has gone.

As JP has been working with the stiffs, and they are likely to be the nucleus of the team next year, then it might be no bad thing

Have we forgotten the impact BSA had when he came in? Before he had significant finances he showed what a good manager can do, organising, motivating, innovating and improvising when necessary. Getting the absolute maximum from what we had.

Id be guttes to see ZC and Vela go as id like to think we could build the team around them next season. Maybe bring in some more yoofs too

Absolutely

Absolutely

Obviously. But finding another Allardyce is in the realms of fantasy.

Birmingham got Rowett in and never looked back. Similar to BSA - stepping up a division. It does happen.

Not saying it doesn't. But to find one now would be a miracle, especially as we couldn't even pay him.

Always thought that Jimmy "9 O levels" Phillips was quite a bright lad.

He coached the u-21s well and was reasonable as manager before he was overlooked for Freedman.

That said, he is clever enough to say no.

Has anyone mentioned Josh Vela favouriting a tweet linking him to Cardiff yet?

He's another one that can fuck off then

Wanker

Has anyone mentioned Josh Vela favouriting a tweet linking him to Cardiff yet?

Transfer, pay rise, signing on fee and out of here. What's not to like?

450k..

ouch

Has anyone mentioned Josh Vela favouriting a tweet linking him to Cardiff yet?

Only to myself

trying to decide if 450k for the right back of the worst defence in the championship is a steal or not.

Should have taken that £1million Arsenal or was it Liverpool allegedly offered for him before he made the first team. allegedly

With hindsight absolutely. But I like many others thought he would develop into something better. He may do still but not here sadly.

I've never forgiven the dick for curtaingate

And probably never will

Always thought I'd be more gutted about losing Josh, but if that's the case it's just unprofessional, lacking respect and he can also gtf.
