The board told us the hotel was nowt to do with the club. A separate enterprise. Next thing it's lumped on our losses figure. Utter bollocks. Pretty much like everything else they've done. One day we hear something that's not bullshit.

According to a friend who stays there when she visits, the standards have been going down for the last year or so.

It depends what contract you offer. - say £20K/30K per week on a 4 year deal.....and then the team gets relegated.....they could end up in the same sort of shit that we're in

 

So, whilst in the PL it doesn't seem like a risk, if you get relegated, it can become a massive liability

500k, a loan back with no contribution to his new wages from us and a sell on clause appears to be the deal for ZC.

 

Not sure there'll be a better offer.

With all due respect, would a new manager stop strikers from missing sitters?

Would he stop defenders from gifting possession to the opposition?

Would he stop goalkeepers from cocking up simple saves?

Would he ensure players currently on massive wages get paid something more affordable before their contracts are up?

 

I think people over-estimate the influence a manager has.

 

But it's a ritual, isn't it? Team do badly, a sacrifice is needed. Appease the footballing gods, or whatever's So get shut. Just be aware that, unless something more fundamental changes, everyone will be calling for the new bloke's head in 12-18 months time. Assuming there's stil a club then.
