Whilst I agree and don't like it at all, unfortunately we are tinpot right now....

Well ED & PG made to look tinpot figures with the football/business sense of a wood louse.

Yes it's not my cup of tea but honestly it's a young lad who is trying to help out! Yeah I know it was never is/going to happen, but lets face it we are a bit small time atm and I certainly would rather people trying summat than a last one turn the light out situation.

Can't speak for everyone but my non bwfc mates have found it funny rather than rip the piss.

Some Bolton fans have now begun an online campaign to raise £500,000 to help their club sign the striker and Le Fondre said: "It's brilliant. I just thought it was really impressive and touching.

"It's flattering to see things like that, that they care so much to want to bring me into Bolton.

I'm not fussed either way about it, but ALF seems impressed so that'll do for me.

As flattered as he may be he wants a wage at the end of the day, he was impressive for us and I would think there will be many other clubs who will nip in for him

The only way we're going to get ALF is if no one will pay a fee and he goes out on loan for the season. Here's hoping.

someone will pay the fee,its not a lot for a proven goalscorer

But he's been turning down clubs offering the fee, so unless Burnley, Wigan or Blackburn come in I can see us getting lucky when a loan is the only option.

Anyone know if this the last year of his contract?

Too true. I suspect he might like the idea of coming here, but he will go anywhere if the money works for him. The only advantage we will have is if we match the other offers on the table. Which are unlikely to be raffle money.

Right now we have to release a player to bring in a reserve goalkeeper or a right back. We don't have a right back in the squad. We've got Heskey and Dobbie playing reserve games with no contract.

Unless Lennon is keeping back all resources to fund a loan move for Le Fondre, I don't see how we'd fund Le Fondre even as a loan. Perhaps Lennon is holding back wages for that?

I think Lennon will have something to work with but as you say we need to shift some out first whether the something is enough to be able to secure ALF I would doubt that, unless we recieve a fee for the 1-2 players we have who are worthy of a fee.

He appears to be saying right now he has nothing to work with. And we have no reserve keeper or any right back in the squad.

Could Fitzsimmons not do a job as reserve keeper? If money is that tight your backup keeper is surely somewhere you have to make do?

Hazarding a guess I'd say he doesn't fancy fitzsimmons as back up if he's prepared to go for Camp. My forest mate really rates him too. So fingers crossed.

I would be surprised if NL thought this is what he was signing up for.!?

ALF will be wearing a Burnley shirt before the end of the week.

Yeah, clearly not. But I'd say sinking resources into a decent keeper who may hardly play seems luxury given we have some positions without any senior player in the squad to play, let alone cover. Obviously a difficult situation but for me a second striker a right back are criticals. We can't play a season with just Madine to play up front.

Clayton and Heskey?

Im in agreement. I think we should just go with Fitzsimmons pray Amos gets through the season unscathed, if not desperately look for an emergency loan? (not sure how they work tbh)

Clayton and Heskey?

Heskey isn't signed. Clayton is not a striker in that sense. He's going to play off a striker or out wide.

Even with Heskey signed, if Madine was out for any period we know Heskey isn't going to play game after game at his age.

If we play with one up top (as seems likely), wouldn't want to rely on Le Fondre from what I saw last season.

I have a feeling we will be seeing more of a 3-5-2 formation. As it currently stands, Madine & Clough up top.

In the BN Lennon is saying its not really his team as he has only signed three players ....he must wish he hadn't rushed into this job & stuck with the likes of Trotter Spearing & Dervite who could blame him ...another survival battle looms unless the takeover calvary arrive in the nick of time which seems unlikely tbh

I'm quite comfortable with our prospects for this season but if we play 352 I reckon we go down

It's my biggest fear too if I'm honest.

I think Madine with Clough can be brilliant. I also think the midfield with pratley running the show has potential.

It's at the back I'm slightly concerned. I thought we may have addressed the issue more than we have already.

It's worrying we are using this system in pre season as I'm sure Lennon said it was only used last season as we were short.

What's the latest on this Kuipers fella?
