Just finished reading my book about the holocaust. Harrowing in places, but also very enlightening.

"Forgotten Voices from the Holocaust" - well worth the read.

 

There was one comment that did hit home to me.... "Britain could have done far more for the Jews. However, they did more than any other country."

 

As a nation, if we do our bit and take on the 20,000 over 5 years handpicked from the "actual" refugee camps near the border, vet and police these people - then I've no issue with them integrating into our society. I'd probably brainwash them into losing their religious beliefs, learning English and mixing with the locals rather than creating their mini-ghettos. I'd also like us to create some kind of clause with regards to a repatriation programme for when Syria becomes stable again.

 

However, I still believe the rest of Europe is fucked if they just accept these randoms unvetted. Trojan horse is most definitely a comment that could sadly ring true in weeks and months to come.

Anyone wondering what the local impact of this is should have a walk round the Oxford Grove area one day.

 

Its an absolute disgrace. We did a job there on Saturday morning and before 10am there was a full blown fight in the street between two fully grown men neither of which speaking any English at all. A bloke screaming "I slit your throat you son of a whore" down the phone and 3/4 seperate kids with no shoes asking us for money. It seemed a ridiculously high percentage of people who passed us were speaking in something other than English and the entire area is a fucking disgrace.

 

Every back street and garden is full of shit, we had to go round the back of the property as something wouldnt fit through the front and we couldnt get there for dumped shit. It seems that once a bin liner is full the done thing is to just open the back gate and throw the fucker out.

 

Do I want these people living next to me? Selfish or not do I fuck.
