June 7, 201511 yr I know loads of kids at Ladybridge who say they are Bolton fans, whether they go or not is another matter, but I'd have to cast doubt on the OP's stats
June 7, 201511 yr I wrote to the Chairman with some suggestions to build fan base and support In both short snd long term and have been invited in to discuss these with him. If you have any thoughts on the subject please let me know, (serious ones please.) In context, my son is at High School in Bolton and is the only Bolton fan in 32 kids! 2 lads in 90 in the whole year. We need to take urgent positive action. Kids are too easily seduced by Sky and the glamour of the Premier League. Not much can be done by that. I even know of a Bolton kid who chose to support feckin' Wigan over Bolton because they were still in the Premier at that time. He's sorry now, but he's nailed his colours to the mast so that's it.

June 7, 201511 yr then the club should make the little cunts wear one now that it doesn't look like a sports bra
June 7, 201511 yr Club should do what the kids want with an underage booze kiosk and an after school fingering masterclass
June 8, 201511 yr One other thing that's occurred to me the Bolton and Bury League for kids play matches on a Saturday once the kids have played and got back home had a bath and something to eat how many parents are going to get there kids ready to go to watch Bolton play I'd say very few now if Bolton and Bury switched to a Sunday I'm sure many more would go to the match on a Saturday. It's a massive change but the club might reap higher attendance levels from kids especially if the club could get the league to buy into this and the club put on coaching sessions for kids on Saturday mornings and then onto the match from there. My lad used to play in the B&B league as a kid and with 10am kick offs, you were done by 11.10am. It's not an excuse in my eyes. We lived in Trafford at the time and still managed to get home, changed have lunch and be at the ground well in time. Lots of kids in that league play on Sundays in other leagues, so a switch isn't always possible. My lad played for Bolton County on Saturdays and then for Mosley Common on the Sunday.

Not an excuse in my eyes either but we're dyed in the wool whites and your right changing Saturday to Sunday might be difficult to push through. If it could be changed and Saturday morning coaching ran by the club with the match ticket included in the cost might entice more people to attend the game.
June 8, 201511 yr Club should do what the kids want with an underage booze kiosk and an after school fingering masterclass And we have a champion fingerer with a legendary technique in our midst as well, I'm sure he'd be willing to help
June 8, 201511 yr The kid can still change 1 Bolton kid supporting Wigan is 1 to many. Missionary work to do there Undies. I agree. But Wigan had a big push and flooded the community with free tickets and adverts on buses and elsewhere. That shite does work. This kid I know goes to school in Westhoughton but lives in Horwich.

My dad made my manager take me off at half time once so we could go Leicester away
June 8, 201511 yr It was mentioned on here a while back about the ever increasing buckshaw village currently sat in no mans land that needs tapping up. Get Phil dropping leaflets in the area and get them to their local ground before nob end, Blackburn or even worse Wigan have a go at them. Horwich is a couple of stops on train and a piece of piss to get to and from the macron.

My brother played for brangy warriors in the b&b league and barely missed a home game til he went to uni. Wall to wall televised top flight footy means without interest in the club from parents or other family members means kids will gravitate towards the prem clubs and even the top foreign clubs (Every Real Madrid and Barca games are shown on SS5 i think). The community stuff does work, my cousin is from a family of united fans but we managed to get him along to a few cheap cup games. Then through the princes trust he did some stuff with the club and met a few players. Danny Shittu was really involved at the time as was SKD. He was hooked on the club and had a season ticket for a few years til he grew up and work commitments meant he couldn't do saturday games. He still comes to the night games in place of grampa spencer Edited June 8, 201511 yr by frank_spencer

Trains are only wank from there temporarily, should be back to 10 minutes when the lines are sorted. Two primary schools on there now as well.
June 8, 201511 yr Think we need a Chorley, Leyland and Buckshaw Village BWFC supporters club, that would piss the yokel PNE and Rooovers fans off. Edited June 8, 201511 yr by Mounts Kipper
