Very happy With that performance. The players showed real guts and spirit, we more than matched Derby, which should hopefully bode well. Thought all our players were great, maybe Danns & CLough were a bit below par, would play Vela Instead of Danns. Trotter can fook right off as per usual, useless prick!

Solid performance against one of the teams tipped to do well this year, better than I'd expected. Impressed with Prince, thought Spearing had a decent game, Wilson looked good. Would have taken a draw before kick off, nearly nicked all three points.

Gotta say i enjoyed that,Spearing looked like a player reborn and Prince looks a class act, at first glance i thought it was a penalty but seems people closer than me say it wasn't, harsh sending off though, if we continue to battle like that we wont be any where near the bottom, onwards and upwards

Prince did very well to say he hasn't even trained with the team yet. Thought Dervite was solid, Spearing got his mojo back made tackles only he could make and they were actually well timed and then gets a nonsense sending off. Madine is new cult hero, won everything in air and very unlucky not to score.

Moxey is not as shit as some have said but looks like Trotter is. We would have lost that last season with bells on.

Madine was a warrior and Spearing was great Til the sending off. Terribly timed as we were really on top and pressurising them more than any other time of the game

He got banned before the start of last season for shouting various isms whilst being monitored during our game with burnley.

I thought he dived, my dad thought he fell, my grandad thought it was a touchdown.

Spearing played well until his second yellow. What was it for? If it was a dive, it was harsh. Not least because those decisions are fairly subjective . If, however, it was for dissent ( and I thought it was - though I could be wrong), then Spearing's a dick who deserves the maximum fine he can get. Because if you're on a yellow, the last thing you need to do is start mouthing off at the referee.

 

Having said all that, I didn't go, and sat booing to myself at home.

That was pretty good today.

 

Madine and Prince were very good.

 

Ref was shite.

I thought we went narrow to try and stop Derby playing through the middle to be honest.

Another player better in a normal back 4 than a back 3.

Wasn't a penalty - refs give defenders a lot of leeway in using their body. But not a dive either, so not a yellow.

Some refs think that if it's not a penalty, it must be a dive yellow. No common sense.

 

Glad we' re re-finding our passion & fight. Fullbacks looked promising. Centre backs looked decent. Madine needs guys feeding off him. Midfield lacks creativity. Clough shows class but needs to learn how to ride challenges and how/ when to release tha ball ..... It'll come, with experience.

If NL can get this squad/ team moving & the youngsters coming through, it could be a decent mid-table season.

Wasn't looking forward to this season ,but after today changed my mind , a committed performance ,with a bit of luck could have won it, On spearing thought he thought about diving tried to change his mind ,bit by that time couldn't stop himself , thought it was harsh myself
