58 shots hit the woodwork 6 times in 4 league and cup games. No points, no goals and no luck said the mouse on talksport. Its not all doom and gloom but we need a striker and quickly, very quickly.

Id like to agree but are the club going to find the money to build the squad? We're short of a finisher and a midfield dominator 2 key positions so not cheap, I'm not arsed about strengthening elsewhere these are the only 2 that matter right now.

well, hopefully, he gets to do something with the ream sale

maybe another to go yet

if he needs something more, spearing and or vela can go for me

and if moxeys injury is a bad un, we may need a full back

You are right he is wonderful. He is doing a great job. He didn't get lucky with Sam and then fall out with him. He didn't take the safe, cheap and doomed option with Sammy Lee. The Megson appointment didn't stink to high heaven. He didn't sign off on all Coyle's excesses. He didn't appoint Freedman completely from left field and he fully deserves his salary because his partner in financial shenanigans, Eddie has complete confidence in him. We are not being run into the ground and are just being run within our means. Silly anybody who does not toe the party line.

Before PG was chairman & ED took over in sure we were about to go bust weren't we?

I'm sure Per was sold behind the managers back (although I might be incorrect). Thinking about it Id say we're back where we started pre big Sam.

All in all Id rather be where we are now than where we were then. The debt then was much smaller but it was all owed to the banks and they don't fuck about when it comes to winding up orders. What's ED going to do? Give himself a winding up order?

Still reckon we'll be top 6 at Christmas. From what I've seen, it's a far more pleasant life being an optimist rather than a doom merchant. Even in the unlikely event we drop to League 1, nobody will have died as a result (apart from a few doom merchants succumbing to heart attacks whilst posting in the Bolton News comments section).

The problem withED is that he's getting older and his family are not bothered about the club so if someone doesn't buy us we could be in deep shit once ED goes!

Ah yes that's it because when they inherit the club they will sell of all the assets won't they? What assets, another chunk of the car park!

They will inherit one company with fuck all and £170m in debt and another company cash rich which is owed £170m and has fuck all chance of getting more than 10% back.

They'll fuck it off at the earliest chance for less than the value of the assets on the balance sheet.

Shouldn't be a question the Ream money needs spending, Vela for me should be right back, we can't keep selling players that's sending the wrong message to the players and fans, we need to get the 2 positions I've mentioned filled with proper specialists in those positions, if we don't were only going one way and If that's what the club are intent on doing those fans who throw the towel in shouldn't be blamed. ( I won't be one though) ????

Lennons signings are a bit shit if we are honest! Wilson, Dobbie and Madine are beyond average. Heskey should be a coach not playing, twatstick is horrendous. Depressing times on the pitch but we are Bolton,we're barmy we're off our fucking heads. Coywm!

No we weren't about to go bust. Gartside and Eddie would have you believe that

I think we are much worse off now, you said it, the debt was smaller and the accounts were certainly easier to understand. We were still genuine promotion candidates in the Championship then, now we are bottom feeders. I realise it is not a popular opinion on here but I think we are much worse off.

I'm sensing a US army-Vietnam style "you weren't there man" retort when a few of the site regulars return from MK tonight.

They aren't happy.

With the result, or the performance? It's an important distinction.

TBH I don't think he's getting the money they have given him the money for the RB and the kid from Arsenal if he wants anymore he will have to raise funds! I wonder if Wigan need a striker they haven't scored yet we have 3 available!

Well.... there's no way he's getting close to his money back if a buyer comes in. He'll have to think about selling sooner rather than later.... whilst taking a big hit, because the debt will just keep going up and it'll be on him. And from what we've been told, he clearly doesn't want to be there anymore.
