Eddie has had some abuse these past few weeks, a lot of it unwarranted by idiots.

  • So a bloke who gave us £150million is asking that his contribution be remembered by naming a room after him. Not a stand or the entire stadium. A room.   He's also asking that instead of getting his

175k is paye not interest

What's promotion worth these days? 160m or something? Then ever increasing if you sat up.

Not a bad gamble.

I would be concerned of ST and VC doing an oyston but then a again a successful, profit accumulating, financially stable football club would have good market value.

ED said there have been 50 offers for the club in the last 4 years, but nobody actually had the cash.

I don't care what the doom-mongers say, ED is a a good egg and does have the clubs success in his thoughts. Whilst being a shrewd businessman at the same time.

Ah right. Must have read it wrong.

Still need to find it.

Ah ok, that makes more sense FT

I'd have thought if anything it was a little bit light - if we owe them £2m -£3m then it would have taken over a year to build up that level of debt at £175k a month

At 40% / 50% tax that would get our wage bill at only £500k a month - Mark Davies is on £110k a month alone (apparently)

Perhaps the guy tweeting got it wrong

175 a week!

A week, fuck me!!

So we need to get 17.5k fans through the door every other week paying on average £20 just to pay the tax bill, let alone the wages or other running costs (not including summer either)

Deano best have some deep pockets

This might be a stupid question - but if we're losing money, how are we owing so much in tax? I thought you only paid tax on profits - something we're clearly not doing.

PAYE and Vat.

PAYE and Vat.

Oh I see - so there's still tax to be paid irrespective of whether a company is in profit or not?

There's a reason why I've never opened my own business! :-)

Work for yourself and keep below vat threshold. Far easier.

It's at least 51 - my bid got lost in the post, just because I didn't put a stamp on it (I was putting the saving towards buying a striker).

Has any bugger worked out what's going on yet?

No, not me

ED is not Mr Transparent.

Which I guess is normal for offshore folks

yeah Eddie sold the club for a quid, absolute bargain!

Pffft - that's nowt - there's a shop near me where you can get 2 pasties for a quid

Is Deano no longer a wife beater ?

Or is he now our wife beater ?

Is being someone with a history of violence to women a reason not to be classed as not 'fit and proper' ?

He was seen dancing with another woman and she confronted him.

I think that warrants a back hander, but not a full on punch.

But will he stop the burning of the pies?

We need the embargo lifting ASAP and get a striker in (no idea who like). Only chance of survival in my opinion.

It will probably be too late, but at least we will go down scrapping.

I doubt any "embargo" will be lifted before the end of the season  -  you have to remember that we didn't fail FFP........ we didn't actually file the accounts, so I guess nothing can be lifted until some sort of accounts are filed, and I'll bet that's not happening any time soon
