Eddie has had some abuse these past few weeks, a lot of it unwarranted by idiots.

  • So a bloke who gave us £150million is asking that his contribution be remembered by naming a room after him. Not a stand or the entire stadium. A room.   He's also asking that instead of getting his

Random meeting on train to London just seen the official takeover requirements and official documents sent by email from Trevor Birch these documents are for a takeover that fell through it was a Thai owner, got his name and all the conditions. Eddie wants his pound of flesh, now I know he's a cunt.

Any chance you could expand Mounts?

Lot of conditions attached to the purchased some we've heard rumours of can confirm % of premier league money to be paid back to Eddie if we return to premier league and to paid to Eddie first day we return to prem, % of any asset sales to be paid back to Eddie for first 3 years, BW loan to be paid back as part of sale. Think picture Eddie paints of himself not quite true reflection from what I can see.

So much for his gift to the people of Bolton eh

So hang on, he writes off a fortune, giving the remaining assets to SS for nowt and makes sure he gets a slice of the pie if assets are sold or things go really well. Sounds fair enough to me.

Assets sell on clauses I agree with, stops us being sold down the river.

Future TV money I don't,unless as discussed on here this week he's chucked in a few million more to tide us over and this is how he gets it back.

Shame Lennon came to us when he did. I'd love to have seen what he could have done with some backing, but the damage has been done.

especially as if he doesnt write it off we're in a much weaker position than we are now

bust in fact

Where's the "not sure if serious" gif

Can you explain more about this "random encounter on the train"? How did you get to see these documents? How did you even broach the subject of our takeover with a stranger?

Let's see the bigger picture with Eddie, he got the club for not a lot, he shafted small shareholders, he then was lucky to ride the SA era, managed the club like a bag of shit ever since, didn't include clauses in contracts for relegation, keeps putting in conditions of sale so he can wean money back, sold assets left right and centre, these should have been the legacy he left for the club, these conditions he keeps inserting and moving goal posts detered buyers and looks like Eddies chosen consortium already in doubt, virtually got the club relegated to the third tier yet he portrays himself as some kind of Jack Walker, get to fuck.

He shafted no-one, they had shares worth fuck all. Absolutely fuck all.

he hasn't written a fortune off though has he.

he has written player right  downs (transfer fee, wages ,non sell on fee) into the debt.

if you are going to right off £185 million debt ,why do you need £15 million back?

why do you need future bonus's on our league position.

why sell the car park , offices, training ground on the last possible day ,? the  money has not gone into  BWFC accounts.

fuck off eddie you greedy twat

you have screwed this club into the floor

Fans bought shares they were worth nothing at the time but fans paid good money for them and were still shareholders in the club they supported and should have had a say in the club in my eyes, he took them away took full control and fans accepted that thinking it would be for the good of the club and we were in safe hands that's now been proven to be wrong and his ownership is now proving to be an unmitigated disaster. Eddie has over seen the most monumental period of mismanagement in the history of the club and one that's still in danger of wiping the club completely out. He has a massive job still to do if the SS consortium deal fails let's hope that rumour is unfounded and we can get back to talking about football and the club going forward.

As things stand, based on what information is available to us, this ^^^ is where I'm at.

Shareholders, too young to have been in the mix but how many were moaning when we were punching above our weight in the prem and holding our own in Europe

Or did the moaning only kick up when we were shit?

Genuinely interested. It's how I see any supporters trust buy out going if we ever get viable as a business again.

He's written off c£170m less c£20m he's had back in interest.

'Player write downs' are just how the transfer fee is charged to the accounts over the life of the contract - he had to tip the cash in up front in the first place if the transfer fees weren't paid in instalments.

I know that folk are angry how we have ended up. I'm angry too, but its down to bad transfer/wages strategy since we came down, nowt else.

COME ON EDDIE TELL THE TRUTH.

Come on Mounts, tell us about this encounter you had on the train which led to you seeing the documents.

What do you want to know? What would make you believe me? I doubt anything would.

What do you want to know? What would make you believe me?

Tell it all. Whatever you saw, tell us.

You met the bloke on a train. You have no loyalty to him whatsoever.

And who's fault is that?

Eddie Davies, Phil Gartside and the board for putting too much trust in managers.

Owen Coyle and Dougie Freedman for bad acquisitions and contract renewals. Neil Lennon for spreading what little he had to thinly - though decent strikers don't come without a fee and he's not had much to spend in the way of fees.

It's a complex picture and blaming Eddie for everything is a little simplistic in my view. From what I hear ED was fairly hands off in any case.

It may give you some comfort to focus the blame on a single bogeyman, but it wont help you understand the truth which is a bit more complex.

In any case, the lack of buttered hot dogs has been one of the biggest, most often overlooked factors in our demise. This site being the honourable exception!

Just go through what happened. How did you get talking to this insider, and what made him show you the documents? Just tell the story.
