Eddie has had some abuse these past few weeks, a lot of it unwarranted by idiots.

what a cnut

I'm only saying.

Help me understand all this, in which scenario could we fuck off all the high earners at no or little cost, and tie up the youngsters to new contracts?

None.

It does seem strange that after ED holding out to make SS prove they have the money that in turns out that one of their investors actually does not want to invest, but it is OK as some local money is being pumped in instead.

We will still be losing £1m per month.

I am bored/confused of the whole fucking shambles.

Been following this fiasco unfold from afar (Tenerife ) at great expense & earache from a non understanding spouse .Absolutely surreal 'what's up with you miserable get ' her to me erhem. .'

What did Eddie say on sky I missed it?

What did Eddie say on sky I missed it?

Probably still portraying himself as uncle Eddie saviour of the club legacy intact, and high wealth new owner selected after months of prudent new owner selection process and rubber stamped and hand selected by him. Should have wore a white t-shirt marked in black pen saying I'm a TIT.

Shitnose.

Does anyone happen to know how many kids Eddie Davies has and his current net worth?

Clearly he's lost control of the situation, but I cannot for the life of me work out how it's got to this stage.

To quote Winston Smith - I understand HOW, I do not understand WHY.

I doubt anyone knows the answer, but clues are needed.

He has two grown up kids and at least one grandchild.

He's not appeared on any rich list for a lot of years but his main asset was his shares in Strix. He sold all but about 5% of these in 2005. The company was then estimated to be worth £300million. Eddie's share of the deal was reported (Isle of Man Examiner) to be £100million.

My understanding is that Eddie had previously owned 50% of the company and that he gave up some of his shares in 1999 when 40% of the company (then valued at £125million) was sold.

That would seem to fit in with his initial purchase of shares in BWFC at a reported cost of £14million.

Eddie (2003) later subscribed for a further £2.5million of shares to allow the club to pay off a pressing bank loan. The club was struggling to pay its way, the shares were close to valueless but the deal gave Eddie overall control.

His declared intent was the club must pay its way and it did until 2006/07. Under pressure to invest more in the team, bank borrowings (guaranteed by Eddie) financed major purchases, the most significant being Nicolas Anelka. Eddie would be entitled to a share of any profit if Anelka was sold but it doesn't look like he ever got it.

When Sam walked out in May 2007 the club was already loosing money but, worse still, was soon in virtual freefall. Relegation threatened and Eddie decided to 'invest' to try to prevent it.

Over the next five years Eddie (through Moonshift) made loans to BWFC to a value (not including accrued interest) of £108million in what ultimately turned out to be a failed attempt to maintain Premiership status. All the money he had gained from the sale of his shares in Strix had gone, but it was to get worse. (to be continued, maybe)

What a cunt eh?

So, if these figures are even vaguely accurate, ED's main crime was not to stick a flag up 3/4 years ago and say he was running out of money and could not keep bankrolling things?

Had he put the club up for sale in, say, 2012,we'd have had a crowd of eager bidders and by now could be rubbing shoulders with the elite?

What if he has been trying to do that since 2012 though, and there have been no interested parties that he considered worthy?

All the while, his family have stood by in horror as a large chunk of his hard-earned fortune has dribbled down the Reebok gutters, presumably reminding him that they don't want their inheritance to be a big house on a shit island in the Irish sea and a bank account full of coppers.

HE'S GOT IT WRONG. (I've put that in capikal letters this time). He's got it wrong.

But, I still say he's let his passion for the club cloud his judgement. It's shit, but I reckon many of us may have made the same mistake.

Let's see what happens

Eddie or Gudni?

I look forward to reading Eddie's book; "How to make a small fortune out of owning a football club"

Eddie is a cunt for not paying his tax and almost getting the club shut down.

Still, boooooooooo!

He ALMOST got the club closed down.

Pay attention Homo

We ALMOST signed Rivaldo

eh?

Its a pretty straight forward statement. :)

We almost stayed up, but Stoke beat us.

eh?

I think Homo is pointing out the word Almost in your statement as rendering it somewhat pointless.

What bit didn't you understand?

Leave em to it Rave. Homo thinks yesterday was great for some reason and spider seems to be happy we got to a league cup final 12 years ago and that pleases him.

I was referring to relegation and it's about as relevant as Dave's statement.

I'm happy about fuck all, same as everyone else. I'm just a bit tired of everyone thinking it's all ED

But fuck it. Whatever.

Mr. Evasion Davies. (or TED for short)

If Lennon hadn't got us relegated this wouldn't be such an issue.

If people didn't hang on the every word coming out of court then they wouldn't get in such a panic. Take away all the 'almosts' and 'nearlys', nothing is different from the fact we are midway through a takeover.

If people waited for the final outcome rather than hanging on every fucking tweet then they might keep some sanity. Maybe we did get lucky yesterday, or maybe Birch actually knows what he's doing, whatever it is we didn't go bust and we SHOULD get taken over in the next 2 weeks.

If it does happen and the tax man is subsequently paid then all that has happened is we have been taken over, no other consequences, no points deduction, the only adverse affect I can see is we lost Ameobi and we haven't yet been able to tie down Holding. There's just been a lot reported in between with people making statements and basing opinions on every word. If we do go bust in 2 weeks then feel free to go mental, I might join in too.

If it does go through fine within the next 2 weeks then there is one man to blame (in the current situation) in my opinion. Neil Lennon. If he kept us up as he should have done then we just have a transition season from one owner to the next. We're still in the same league, we still keep our best youngsters and we go again next season. Unfortunately he is clueless and has relegated us, this will be connected to the takeover and it will all be ED's fault.

Brilliant, but you're wasting your time.

Dave

Fair enough but i think Eddie gambling the judge wouldn't liquidate us makes him a cunt.

He risked the club to avoid paying a tax bill.
