So latest news is that there is nothing we really understand but it is still going on ?

On Sky sports FL want heavy conditions put in place monthly accounts to be shown to FL for next 18 months, there not happy with SS deal not sure they have the cash, 1 backer has backed out but new one been found, that's caused SS problems. FL now have agreed with restrictions as above plus they want to monitor transfers. Trevor Birch could not look less pleased completely blanked the reporter, he's not a happy bunny.

This is the strange / worrying part for me.  At worst it looks like a draw with the additional 2 weeks, so why was Birch so pissed off?

Just cought some of Ed on SSN. He said only SS had shown they had the funds to do the deal. He wanted it done quickly, before his 70th birthday, as in his words

Someone had to cough up some amount of dough on their card to get the judge to give them a bit more time. Was wondering why SS wouldn't have just paid the tax bill if they had been given FL approval but guess its because they just don't have it 

 

Like Gonzo's earlier post, I just don't see whats in it for them that would also benefit us as fans and the club as a team. If they just plan to assest strip and fuck off with all the money then it would make sense for them to persevere like this. This club will take some time to turn around without any significant investment and if SS don't have 3m now then where is it gonna come from and at what cost / interest etc? The people investing in SS must think they are going to get a return and it looks as though one of them has already decided they won't! 

 

Suppose its difficult to judge until if and when we find out SS intentions when we facing league 1 with a shit expensive squad with only a couple of saleable assets that we all know we could do with keeping. Better than starting again in some non league wilderness but still a crap outcome. 

 

I get in the short term that this result today is better than it could have been, but sounds like we are postponing the inevitable in my opinion. I just don't get how we can all suddenly relax if Deano takes over, He will be skint quick time if he isn't already.

Sorry MK, but to my knowledge I've never met Eddie Davies but you don't need to be Jonathan Creek to figure out that some SS backers might have got cold feet. Its still all a lousy deal for Eddie (and his family) and not so great for BWFC but ED is still trying to keep the show on the road as he has done since Big Sam walked out. Lesser men would have found a way of baling out years ago.
