Sportshield is as mysterious as the Loch Ness Monster.

I know its only a gut feeling, gained from looking at him, but i don't like the look of Sweaty Ken Anderson and woudn't trust him as far as I could throw him.

Cant see anything but another tits up season ahead, with another pop at Administration.

Hope to fuck i'm wrong as i'm no financial whizz, but cant see how the Deano and Sweaty can make this work.

I look at Deano and I think - despite being a cockney barrow boy, his heart's in the right place and he might just be able to pull it off.

I look at sweaty Ken and I think reptillian shape shifter/Dave Bassett impersonator with a track record of shaftage.

Is he definitely sweaty? I mean he certainly looks like he should be but I've not seen any evidence as of yet.

Haha saw that. Wasn't Marc Iles painting his spare bedroom the day we were a split second from going under?

I noticed an article on there written by yon fella from Burnden Aces the other day as well.

It's like tripe'n'trotters fanzine that paper nowadays.

It's a fucking shambles, he spends all his time engaging with trolls on Twitter whilst getting random other people to write articles. I realise he's in a difficult situation and a sports journo not a financial one but he really is scraping the bottom of the barrel. Sports journos are ten a penny, he needs fucking off. We are a League One club with an Evostik local paper.

Also, not seen this mentioned elsewhere, Brentford have pulled their entire academy apparently, and will just run an elite 17-21 year old squad. People saying that many clubs will go down this route, given the costs involved.

You can see why, they just seem to swallow money.

What has our academy actually produced in the last 15 years or so......and how much has it actually cost to run?  - people may point at Clough and Holding, but if we sold them today, we might be lucky to scrape £5M for th epair, so we would still be hugely out of profit  -  also, we've seen some other academy lads break into the team recently - is that because they're good, or because we're fucking awful. Let's not kid ourselves, if we were still a PL club, then those players wouldn't be getting near the bench, let alone starting games

Let the big boys produce the kids and we will take them once released

Be interesting to see gumbos thoughts

Let the big boys produce the kids and we will take them once released

I guess this is what Brentford plan on doing, and I don't see what's wrong with that at all. There are all sorts of issues with academies and catchment areas, with regards to snaffling the young talent anyway.

Brentford have a reputation for a class sports analytics department. They replace their players with players who can churn out the same kind of stats so they believe they have much chance of fitting in. Assume they think they can pick up suitable kids that other kids let go that may suit Brentford's style.

They've sold high and bought or loaned low, hence their rise

The polar opposite of us then

Lets close down the eddie davies academy

It's our training ground now so that's not possible.

lets re name it the eddie davis is a cunt training facility

Brentford are light years ahead of us. Instead we are looking at a manager who had his pomp between 91-97.

I'm very much a glass half full type but this really doesn't bode well. Deano might well have got himself the pup of all pups and he's going to need every ounce of the tenacity he showed in buying the club to make this work - we desperately need stability to then focus on the football and this ain't it. Think Jules or was it tomski said something like another season focused on non-football shite can fuck right off looks like we're heading that way.

I get the feeling holds worth does have the clubs best interests at heart,I'm not sure about Ka. I don't trust him.

Illes is Deanos little bitch, so I can see it being correct

"But that theory could soon be put to the test as staff and player wages continue to be paid through the summer, without the regular top ups of a matchday."

No income, except the season tickets that have been paid for up front, Iles you fucktard.

They stated they had enough money to see us through next season didn't they?

i feel deanos been trying to keep us fans in the loop more than Davies did, but no one still has a clue what's going on.

I must admit, I was thinking exactly the same thing when I read that.

Anderson will finish this club off, left to it.
