Smurf was posting stuff about the company that ran the school jobby being dissolved.

There's clutching at straws and being a complete bell wash.

What does that mean exactly?

Is it better to be at the top or bottom?

Are we deliberately blank?

So you want to be at the bottom then

And anyone under 100% is doing a good job

Find it hard to beleive QPR are under 100% unless they have shifted all their deadwood from their PL jaunts

 at Forest and derby who just can't get near the PL

For every £1 Notts Forest take they spend £1.66 on wages.

Currently I reckon we're nearer £1 take to £2 spend, might even be worse than that. It will improve massively next season.

I'd think one is definitely us. Hopefully get promoted reduce wage bill and we then become self financing.

Self financing. Nice idea, but we won't be able to stay in the championship very long using that sort of a model. Let alone challenge for promotion.

At least a lot of the big earners are out of contract this time, although we will still be left with Amos, who I can't see playing for the club again

Better that than what we were facing this time last year, a genuine possibility of our club being liquidated.

There has to be a balance. Sensible investment matched by good management. Eddie Davies did this early on and it reaped rewards. It went wrong when we started chucking money around after average players. I don't think we can be self financing and compete. We are 2nd in this league and mainly down to players we couldn't afford to pay if we were self financing.

We started chucking cash about because of desperation about avoiding relegation. Understandable as I can think of no other business where your income will drop by 66% and your costs remain the same.

As mentioned above, it didn't do Burnley or Hull any harm.

Burnley had a parachute payment and spent £9M on Gray. So whilst they may have been self financing they were probably financially able to compete.

Hull also had parachute payments.

Indeed, the parachute payments certainly skew things somewhat.

I'm surprised to see Leeds down at 59%, I don't know why, but I just expected them to be a lot higher
