The Food Hall has opened at Bolton Market. Had a mooch around. Didn’t buy anything but it both looks and smells good. Various stalls with a variety of foods and a small bar.  I’ve said previously, t

Bingo, mate.

It doesn't look much, but feck me its tasty.

Proper bolton staple this place, been here years.

They do beef too....but i've only ever stuck with the chicken tikka, wrap, chips or pitta etc.

We may not have loads of trendy £20 smash burger gaffs....or American style dipped sandwiches with 9000 toppings for £75.99, but you can get a few decent feeds, no frills good food.

Story aside, the standard of this report is absolutely biz.

Doesn't say too much, other than quoting disapppinted shoppers.

Not sure there is too much else to say really.

Funnily enough, I walked past it on Friday, and nearly went in for posterity as much as anything else.

Just as well I didn't really.

Were you nearly in tears as you couldn't get a loaf?

No, but if folk were, then the report is accurate. That's a positive, especially in a minor non-story.

Might have become a bigger story if I had gone in, and infected a load of gippers. 😁

I suppose people who don’t shop in Bolton won’t see the affect it has on those that do. Devastating for the town in the same way Debenhams closing was. The plans for the future are ambitious but funding and investment are the key. Just like the team, I’ll stay positive that things will improve.

Won't happen until the council is in that hands of competent controllers who won't look after their own (pound shops etc.) and work for the greater good. Only then will the big developers start circling and we could have a similar renaissance to Bury.

Step one - vote in the local council elections FFS and stop minority interests using the system and your indifference to their advantage.

Cliff Morris oversaw the demise of our town centre the fat useless fucking fraud.

11 years of irreparable damage and all he did was stand by watching, eating pies and feathering his nest.

He should be more reviled than Man United by boltonians.

Are they still charging to park in the town centre?

what’s left?

At least call an advertisement as such.

Kinell, blatant! It's sad really the state of local newspapers they used to be genuine pillars of a community but there's no way they can compete now.

That's why papers like the BN (and local ones down here too) have to generate clicks by reporting about Harry and Meghan!

Not only are they charging, the council closed many of the surface car parking and had every fucker going into multi-storeys. The once grey concrete walls are now highly decorated multi-coloured works of art as shit drivers deposit the next layer of paint from car to wall.

Not many.

someone in the boarding up business is doing well, though.

Last time I went into town though it was like £2 for about 8 hours, or something - anyway it was super cheap.

Although, seems like this levelling up thing is going very well though. Hats off to Gove and team.

any town centre that charge for parking, certainly at weekends, gets everything they deserve.
