Kitchen Place? Not Melville Street? Paul Moulden had it briefly late nineties..

Always preferred Crescent Road or Eustace Street back in the day.

Melville was always steamy - made the chips soggy imo, and I suspected the fish was sourced from Braddies...

Still there, the furniture place...

They wanted more room and stopped letting the chippy to expand...Moulden moved up Bury Road then.

Think the cobbler stuck to his guns and stayed until he decided when to shut up shop.

Eustace St chippy was always rated in GL back in the day. A mate of my mum's best friend had it - Freda?

That was top notch pal, proper old skool like Hartigan's

Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane gents, very enjoyable indeed.

However...I shall leave a teaser for you.....two chippy's on Deane Church Lane.....one is Rigby's and still there, the other is a great Chinese.....but.....what was the Chinese one called when it was in English hands ?

And for the Mount St Joseph puffs on here.......what was the chippy called near the papershop adjacent to Park View Road/Street..Willows Park.......almost opposite Melbourne Road.....
