Ciro Citerio was originally above where Boots is now.

May have been mate, just remember it also being next to where Oliver’s was too, still got a suit I bought in there, though it doesn’t fit anymore

homeless and hungray  on a bastard mobile

Not sure if you're on Nextdoor  Neighbour  site from round our way, they posted one last night of him at the lights on Beaumont Road.....he was drawing out a wad of notes from the Shell garage ATM.

He takes his change given to him, to the Nat West in town....cheeky cunt.

Yes, it moved into the former Next shop which in turn moved into the Market Place.

A few of my mates worked at the original Ciro one above Boots.

The (Duck and) Shuttle went ages ago, think it's a Costcutter now?

Close.
Flying Shuttle now a NISA.

Was my local growing up on the Highfield council estate behind it.

Is that chippy still there, on the street going into the estate, before the Shuttle - up a couple of stairs iirc..?

Used to be a cracking chippy that, had mates on Highfield and sometimes we'd walk up to meet them Friday evenings just to go to that chippy.

Chinese round the corner from the Co-Op at the other end of the block, run by Scouse Paul the Evertonian?

Yeah, that's still there.

It was a good 'un...

Back in the days when you'd walk a couple of miles for a good' un.

I can remember being pissed up in Great Lever and dragging mates across Harper Green fields to Tung Sing too (when it was a good 'un) - for nostalgia stopped for a fish barm there a year or so ago, fucking hell, more like a batter barm - any fish was AWOL.

I might take a detour then.

Maybe next Friday.

Pity the Shuttle's not still there - won't quite be the same without Newky Brown bottles sailing through the air...

(nah, that only happened once, Prince Rupert was rougher imo, Rocket too...)

Last time I went in the Shuttle it was very, very early Shameless pub though - god rest it's soul.

Only went in the Rocket a couple of times, but frequented the Rupert quite often. They had a cricket team in the Thursday night Bolton Pioneer (Pie n beer) League back in the day and I used to turn out for them.

Yeah, John's Chippy, though I don't know if he's still anything to do with it any more.

I can vouch for that one too. Excellent when the Lostock Spitfires were taking liberties against Farnworth SC CC on a T20 last year.....

Probably due out of date soon as well, the pop...

Always were tight sods, if it's still same owner, although he was a walking Ruddock twenty years ago...

Where's Century Mill? Near the Vantona Lodge, Old White Arrow Place?
