Managers

On a few threads the debate get triggered if NL is the right man for the job / should he be immune from criticism, given all the circumstances. I was and still am in the "NL will come good camp" but after watching (yes from my armchair) the dross on Saturday had a first moment of doubt. Key question I reckon is even accepting the dire finances, if we had a proven Championship manager at the helm would he get more out of the current crop of players than NL does - the squad on paper at least isn't bottom 3 is it, or am I deluded? No point looking back but if Gartside's bingo machine had come up with say Chris Hughton or even Neil Warnock can't help but think the table would be different now, even if the players weren't.

NLSWA........and praying for miracle.

  • We should have got Big Mick.

  • If? If my auntie had balls she would be my uncle.   We've got NL. We've got no money. We've got a massive debt. We've got a chairman that most don't want. We've got a squad playing dire football. I

And Colin Wanker is in there.

Ffs, I just googled that!

Is it possible some of the issues behind the lack of funds could reflect a lack of confidence in Lennon?

He is quoted today 'Can I change it? No. I have to work with these players'

Some of the strongest words that can come out of a managers mouth.

When I read that in today's BN I just thought he's deflecting some of the blame?

Summat seems to be brewing at the club and it sure isn't a cup of tea. No doubt it will come to a head if we lose on Saturday. Just a hunch I have.

Worrying. Suggests he is losing the players. Going to end in tears

Chris Ramsey gone... Kick It Out will have a field day; two black managers (score 4) gone yet a ginger (concedes said 4) still in charge!

Feel sorry the lad to some extent...

Sure enough...

That article is summed up by the fact that the QPR sacking was explained by their director of Football - black bloke Les Ferdinand. So he's racist against blacks is he?

Which hilariously isn't referenced

Townsend is a nob

Townsend is doing more damage with his comments then the sacking will do

In the 2011 consensus 3% of the UK population came from the ethnicity classification of 'black British'

So if you want to use that stat, 6 black managers out of 92 is over represented, even down to 4 now is over representation.

I hate the race card played in football, you can either do the job or you can't. The colour of your skin has Fook all to do with it, ........ John Barnes is to blame, booo!

Townsend is doing more damage with his comments then the sacking will do

This is the problem now, it's bordering on reverse racism worldwide - whereby opportunities are only given to people of ethnic/sexuality/gender minorities and where they won't get sacked, simply because doing so would brand the company as bigoted.

I hate the new world sometimes.

Made me giggle that last bit too; kind of the 'elephant in the article'.   That Townsend comes across as an attention seeking buffoon with chips pudding peas and gravy on his shoulder

Sinclair is bang on.

What Sinclair says is so true though - peoples reputations/careers can be damaged irrevocably once racist/sexist etc suggestions get banded about.

I don't see how comments like Townsend's help one bit.  They will ultimately only scare people into not employing 'BME' coaches in the first place, and give anyone non-white (which is basically what BME means, right?) a handy excuse for being crap - nice one Troy :)

What really grinds my gears with this talk is that it actually reinforces racial differences as opposed to breaking down barriers - as does ticking those stupid race boxes on every fcuking form you see these days.

I reckon this is why Lennon has kept his job.

The club are shit scared of unsettling the cult of ginge.

Last time we did that they set up a series of events to captitulate our football club.

Johnny Evans was forced by gingers to do Holden. Bogdan fouled crouch on purpose. Dougie Freedan wears a wig. Lennon.

We are a superior race; descended from Vikings, we will never die out.

We couldn't win a race never mind be superior.

Although I'm thinking we could bring back the use of drinking horns to fill with honey ale.

Sounds better than the piss we're currently served.

Gonch.

Has anybody ever tried to send the SAS or any other special forces in to topple the Cult of Ginge? - is there actually a "known" leader or is it all too secretive?

That simple looking singer and Sheerhan has to be involved

It's got to be a conspiracy that got him popular

Prince Harry has also clearly been "placed" in his role by a higher power

And as for Neil Kinnock....lets just say this is all his revenge

A piece I'm working on...

L. Ron Hubbard

Judas Escariot

Hagar the Horrible

ALF

Maybe Guy Fawkes (I can't quite remember)

We're like the illuminati; once in a while one of us ascends to power to change the course of history

You cant sack a manager you have never backed

Gonch.

I can't say too much but have you heard of jade helm? Think 'ginger holocaust'

I think we should end this conversation with amidete effect.

Fulham just potted Kit Symons.

Fulham's chairman/owner has backed Kit Symons to the hilt, fair enough he's had enough, Ours have never backed Lennon so sacking him wouldn't be fair.Wish we had one of their reserve strikers

Blackburn next on the trigger

Blackburn next on the trigger

Shame, he's a decent bloke & manager, he lives just a few hundred yards away from us, I think he's been hard done by tbh.

How many of the bottom 8 have sacked their managers this season?

How many now malc?!
