Sweep Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Lennon is looking, at present, like a pretty poor manager. I know he is working under financial constraints, but then so are a lot of the other managers in this division. We really are awful. Lennon has had a fairly easy ride so far, but I suspect that is t going to last much longer. He's fairly lucky the crowd will more likely be directing their frustrations in the direction of PG The atmosphere on Saturday is probably going to be fairly toxic if the last Saturday is anything to go by.....not that it'll help the team much. Sweep Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 A former poster around these parts did suggest from day one that Lennon would be a poor appointment...... Quote
Casino Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 he;s losing hes under the pressure he puts himself under and the pressure being bottom of the league puts you under and hes not handling it well i dunno that mjallby had muc effect on the on pitch stuff but maybe he could stand up to lennon = when necessary - and make some useful points Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 So... We've had 3 "young" hungry managers in a row, all of whom most fans were very excited about at the time of signing. It seems all 3 are going the same route, initial burst of form and then dwindling fast, looking rudderless, and unable to get what, on paper, looks like a decent set of players playing to a reasonable level. Perhaps it's time to bring in a more seasoned mind and stop experimenting with the cheaper options? Quote
Casino Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 1 win in 21 I think last win before this season was cardiff the daft thing is lennons enthusiasm and drive could still save him but he needs to get 2 or 3 wins in the next half dozen a bit of optimism around the place and we could get on a roll we cant be in a much worse place than last season and by new year we had every chance to get comfortaly in the top 10 Quote

The seasoned minds aren't very inspiring either, well the ones that would come to us any road I'm not defending Lennon either, I just don't see a way out of it Quote
Casino Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) I'm not defending Lennon either, I just don't see a way out of it for me, it has to work with lennon and it can but he needs to say fcuk you all, im doing it my way even if its 352 pick something/someone and give it a chance and i think he'll get chance cos even now, hes not going to cop the flack he deserves gartside is in the firing line Edited November 3, 2015 by Casino Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Gonzo has lauded to it there's a shift and patience is starting to get thin. Lennon's got time with me, I reckon hes got enough about him to steer us clear. The reasons about settled teams players in positions etc have already been covered. Ive not been one to be angry with whats going on but the silence and lack of anything from the club is starting to really get prickly. Starting to fear the worse and its a looooong road back. Quote
jules_darby Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Thing is He keeps it the same, it doesn't work; he's stupid - same thing - same results He changes it, it doesn't work; he's a tinker man Sounds very obvious, but he needs to just find a way to scramble to results. Just make it fucking work Quote
Gonk Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Chris Powell sacked by Huddersfield, they might come in for Lenny Quote
Carlos Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Huddersfield looked like world beaters against us. Quote

madthatter Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I'm not deliberately trying to stick up for Lennon here, but is it possible he has had the wool pulled over his eyes a little? i.e. promised more than he has been given? I seem to remember when he joined that he suggested he had a bit to play with but that seemed to change quickly and his comments (tactfully) seemed to reflect this. He should be doing better, no doubt; but if the above is the case then his future career could be hinged on what happens with us. You would also have to say that his commitment (so far) would be laudable in such circumstances and that he is indeed between a rock and a hard place. That could well be bollocks but just something i've been thinking for a while . . . Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Huddersfield looked like world beaters against us. Only because Wilson kept falling over. Quote
only1swanny Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 How can you give money to a man that is yet to make an inspiring signing? All the cheap ones have been kak. Why did we get rid of Craig Davies? Quote
Sweep Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Why did we get rid of Craig Davies? Is part of the reason not that he is a perma-crock. I think he's been injured most of this season already hasn't he? Quote
jonnycooper Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 1 win in 21 you say!! Is that our worst ever run? Quote
